Do know about how many chapters a day the schedule warrants? I read on my Kindle, so page #s don't really work for me.
Good question!
Chapters vary in page length, but as a rule of thumb, you’re looking at about 5-6 chapters per day.

ASOIAF - SUMMER RE-READ
A Game of Thrones - May 22nd - June 6th 2014
It's here! Today is the first day of the 2014 Summer ASOIAF re-read (or first time read-along for the Unsullied). We start with A Game of Thrones, the shortest book of the series by far. The schedule is designed to accommodate a reading pace of 50-60 pages a day.
I will be posting a questionnaire/challenges every 2-3 days that you are free to use/answer if you wish.

ASOIAF - Re-Read Schedule
The schedule is laid out to accommodate a reading pace of about 50-60 pages per day. The average adult has a reading speed of about 250-300 words per minute for prose, which about adds up to about a page a minute. Do the math, and you’re really being asked to read an hour a day. Which you should be doing anyway, because reading is like popping a multivitamin for your brain every day.
Still, its my experience that the average fantasy fan is a bibliophile anyway, and these books are literally like crack at times, so most of you are probably going to have trouble putting the darn things down. By all means, you’re welcome to skip ahead or catch up, whenever you like. It’s your summer holidays. No one is going to be keeping tabs on you! The schedule is just a recommendation.
You’re welcome to post up any observations or quotes or meta-inspired under the re-read under the tag ‘ASOIAF summer reread.’ But also tag it with ‘GoT’ and ‘ASOIAF’ because it’ll get more people interested in what we’re doing here too and might inspire them to join in.
Occasionally, I’ll be posting prompts and suggestions to get discussion going.
Every week, I’ll be posting meta, fanmedia, surveys and other fun challenges related to the book currently on schedule. You’re welcome to participate if you want to.
