one of the fastest tells that a story is going off the rails and won't get back on, imo, is how it treats injuries

as soon as permanent, disabling injuries have a way to be cured, things will only go downhill

i say this as a person who's reliant on audiobooks- i wonder if shifting away from the written word is part of why proper written formatting is being lost

i've seen a lot of incorrect paragraph division, especially with dialog

if you're listening, it's unlikely that you're following where paragraphs break. why would you? it's irrelevant

but when you're reading with your eyes... truly an absolute necessity to get right!
