It didn’t take long for that thought to settle into Lock’s mind. Especially with the fact that she made sure he knew by throwing him through multiple walls. And while they could probably go back and forth with punches forever - literally - he needed to deal with this.
Before Anthony found out on his own, he needed to take her to him. He could take whatever punishment, as long as he didn’t feel the need to kill his sister for the second time. And make it permanent. He didn’t feel like burying her again.
So he dragged her back to the old man’s house, trying to fill her in on as much as he could on the way there. Which wasn’t a lot, but it felt like a lot.
“…and just, shut up and don’t fuck this up, okay?” He hissed at her as they walked through the front door. “He’s already going to be pissed and blame me. Just let him. I’m used to it.”
Though, he had a feeling Shock wouldn’t listen. You tell her to do one thing, she does the opposite. So either this could end okay - or really bad and they’re both dead for real this time and buried together in a shallow grave.
Honestly, a fitting end he’d normally snicker at.
Things were different now though. He wanted to live. Well, live an undead life. He wanted to stay strong, stay with Mei, keep Barrel alive, keep Shock alive - ish. It all really just depended on how this went.
“Hey! Old man! Come out from the crypt or whatever,” He called into the house, standing in the foyer. “Some shit’s gone down.”

What a fantastic turn of events, if you were asking her. Vampires were fucking hard to kill and, sure, maybe she had to die to become one, but in her opinion that didn’t count, really. If anything, her second death was more of a rebirth anyway. A bit like her first death, t b h. She’d woken from that and shed Shannon, the girl who tried; to Shock, the girl who died. And she didn’t know about you but she was excited to see who she would become next.
She was strong, she was fast, and she was hungry. Her fangs itched in her mouth and she was twitchy like a crackhead without a fix. She could barely pay attention to Lock filling her in about his sugar daddy (blood daddy?), she just kept smelling things and seeing things. Her vision was wicked in the dark, she could see clear across the park as they stalked through it. She was kind of hoping they’d come across some teenagers making out so that she could eat them. God, that’d be satisfying.
But, they didn’t meet anyone on their walk and some of Shock’s twitchiness faded as they hit the trees, away from the majority of town. She could hear the rustle through the branches and the loud snap of twigs beneath her feet. And she heard Lock’s warning.
Throwing an arm around her shoulder, she pulled him close, snugging him to her. At least she didn’t want to eat him, he just smelled the way he always had to her: like boy.
“No problem, little bro, I’ll just turn on the charm, you know me.”
Her eyes went up as they entered the mansion. She let out a low whistle, her head tilting back as she looked up at the high ceilings, the dark wallpaper, the sparkling chandelier.
“How do you think he cleans that thi–”
There was a creak on the stairs and Shock’s head whipped towards the sound, tensing despite herself. All her instincts were turned on high in a way she couldn’t control even if she wanted to. Her nose twitched but there was nothing living in this house. If she were still alive, maybe a chill would’ve gone up her spine. As it was, she just grinned into the darkness.
“Sup?” she called, her voice echoing through the empty house.

Anthony only had a few simple rules for his vampire brats to follow.
1. Don’t bother him
2. Don’t cause him trouble.
3. Don’t turn anyone without his permission.
See? Simple. Anything else they decided to do was fair game. He didn’t care what kind of trouble they got into, as long as it didn’t inconvenience him. That was it. Anthony didn’t think that was too big of a demand. Yet as the brat called out for him, he knew there was something off.
He hadn’t lived as many years as he had without having some sense of things. But seeing as the brat was disrupting him from his work (reading a paper on the strength of compulsion), he had a feeling that something was off.
And then he registered the second presence, eyes narrowing as he took a long look at the girl. She was a vampire. Clearly. He heard no heartbeat, and the fact that she was here was...a terrible sign. Lock had turned someone? Did this little shit have any damn common sense?
The switch from bemusement to anger was quick, and Anthony lunged forward and reached to grab hold of Lock and try to shove him up against the nearest wall. “What the fuck did you do you stupid child?” He snarled, teeth protruding in his fury. As if he were going to bite the bastard for causing this kind of trouble.
“How dare you? Why the fuck would you turn someone else?” He glanced over at the girl, debating over how quickly he could move to kill her should the need arise. She was not a factor in this deal. “I realize that you are still an infant in all senses of the word, but one of the basic rules of being a vampire is that the baby vampire doesn’t turn other vampires. Do you understand that you stupid little bastard?”
