Park Hills. If you are an artist and want to reinterpret basketball, you should consider living in Munich. There’s no other city in the world with that many art installation inspired from our beloved game. Here the 3D court designed in 2006 by Inges Idee, a collective of four artists experimenting around public space and our daily reality. I first saw this court in 2007 but didn’t get a chance to shoot it, took a revenge yesterday with the drone, medium format and 1Dx while a family was playing full court basketball on the most uneven court of the world. 2 years ago I got to collaborate with my friend Daniel Peterson and the @memgrizz to renovate the basketball courts of Lester Community Center in Memphis. Two of my photos from the #outofbounds set were used on the backboards, a collaboration that triggered the launch of Daniel's great project @betterbasketballcourts . The goal is to renovate abandoned courts with artists and create unique places of social interaction.
