How did you get your music on your page like that?

oh gosh diggity darn i got two messages like this — i reckon the first one was from way way back; i’m so sorry i’m only just getting to these now! D:

i use this handy dandy player right here (and i know that billy player doesn’t, for some reason, take tumblr mp3 files, but this player does!) and i just adjust the height and width and appearance options so that it doesn’t show the slider or the playlist.

it should be pretty self explanatory, since the generator has tidbits and guidelines and a live preview, but if you do have any problems setting it up, i’d be more than happy to help you if you come off anon! uwu

                   Freckles' fumbling hesitance merits a slender hand                    placed upon the jut of her hip and a tilt of her head                    that would appear near impatient -- until she simply                    scoffs, unable to hide her disgust at -- well -- men.

                     And   that's   about   as   close   as   she'll   get   to                      actually offering to help her.

                              ❝  Promises, promises.  ❞  

                    And perhaps she's not only crossed a line, but leapt far over it to the point where such a line would appear a distant dot, but she knows her sharpened tongue is all but a part of their little game; it's her daring spitfire and his (typical) ego that's gotten them into this rather -- precarious position in the first place, and so she knows that he wouldn't dare. It'd shatter this little -- illusion.

                    And she ignores the slight shiver that his breath against her ear sends down her spine, coinciding with his hands simply roaming down her form, as though he were sculpting her all over again, and even with her thighs defiantly pressed together, he pulls them apart, easy, until his palm is pressed against her and even the thin sheer fabric that hugs against her skin seems too much.  

                              ❝  If it was as simple as telling you what I want,                               then you'd really be letting go of your control --                               and what's the fun in that, mm?  ❞  

                    She presses back against him with a roughness which betrays the slow smirk that crawls upon her expression as she glances over her shoulder at him, her intent, at the very least, made quite clear.

                 & now the blessed sigh of relief that                  will wash through her, the motive for                  her own  lips  to  mirror  a  kind  curl.                  yet  there  is the same w r e t c h e d                  hesitation  as   slender   brows   knit                  together in muted perplexity.

                         Eyes narrow slight at the young woman,                          so astute to even notice,  her brows knit                          in what feels like genuine concern.

                         (Perhaps,  rather,  it  was  simply  human                          decency to at least care to that extent --                          a notion that feels a few degrees off kilter                          for Meg's liking, at the very least.)

                    She simply tilts her head to the side to grant the god better access to exposed skin, a near hum escaping her lips in amusement. She thinks his lips deceptively gentle, how they trace along her neck, but such a thought is short-lived when he bites down, to which she sharply exhales. 

                              ❝  I wouldn't say you're completely in control.  ❞

                    And that's probably as much as she would admit that she, in turn, is not in control, pressing back against him slowly with a roll of her hips as though to serve as a certain reminder. (There is a sharp throb of pain imprinted in the form of his palm upon her skin, still, one that causes her thighs to involuntarily twitch together; her body betraying her own desires; spilling out a few of her cards -- more than she cares to display.) Water continues to drip from his form and onto her dress, the soft layers of sheer fabric made a darker shade of purple, revealing her form even more so as the wet clings to her slender frame.

                              ❝    But I figured you weren't the type for routine.                               You can spend all day playing games, or you can                               really start to take the reins, here, Baby Blues.  ❞

                                              Always, Megara. Always with the daring.

         Even as exposed as she currently is it amazes him that she still has the ability to lash out with her tongue. At what point does arrogance become foolishness? In fairness he wouldn’t know as he likely crosses the line daily, but something tells him she’s walking it fairly close if not having tipped over already. While she may try to stifle a verbal reaction, the physical one is enough to meet his desire. He’s certain that if he leans just a bit closer she’ll be able to feel his arousal, if she couldn’t tell already.

                                                                             But no, first things first.

                                       ”Oh? Once more then? Just to keep my                                        reputation in good health.”

      At the end of the sentence his hand comes down sharply once more. They say the third time is the charm, he can’t help but wonder with a smirk if that’ll hold true now. He pauses, waiting for her reaction and after a moment his hand slides upwards from the flesh. It’s barely half an inch before his fingers are tangled in her brunette locks, curling around his fingers. The way she looked at him was daring him to do something more. So with a sharp tug he did, forcing her head further back only to be met by his lips crashing down upon hers once more for a lingering moment.

                                         ”Do you think that’s enough punishment?”

                    Perhaps the two are more alike than they would care to admit, constantly teetering the line between arrogance and foolishness, at times mistaking one for the other -- and it is quite an amusing thought for Megara to entertain; of all the gods to share such a trait with... When he strikes her once more, where she feels a near burning pain sharp against her soft skin, and she cannot help but let a soft moan escape in her attempt to suppress a cry, her body jolting in kind and feeling the throb of his arousal brush against her, to which she bites down on her lower lip.

                    The lithe slope of her neck is exposed when he tugs harshly, then, at her hair, demanding her head backwards with her hands still pinned defenselessly in front of her. She sucks upon where his lower lip has swollen against her prior bite, his breath tasting sweet in her mouth as she nudges him with his nose, a near feign at innocence.  

                         ❝  I dunno, if you're as much a man of action as you say                          you are,      figured you'd get bored with this by now.  ❞

                    She neither confirms nor denies his question, knowing that her complacency is what he seeks; for her to cave and simply beg for mercy -- unfortunately, perhaps, for him then, she wasn't the kinda damsel who ever had to beg to get what she wants.

        wide eyes would observe the woman in disbelief;          ————- - not a princess? almost impossible, con-         sidering her deathly, gorgeous complexion and         such a curvaceous form that seemed to be main-         tained properly. rapunzel clears her throat, ought         not to stare. 

                             ❝ r - right, um —- it’s rapunzel, if you didn’t hear                                 me the first time. n - not blondie. i - um, okay.                                 it’s nice to meet you ———- - i can handle my-                                 self, r - really. the woods are strange and da-                                 ngerous, but i barely have my own freedom.                                 ————- - the guards will take me soon enough. ❞

                    She crosses her arms in a default state of defense as she                     also eyes the blonde,  carefully,   an incredulous eyebrow                     perking at the sheer length of her tresses.  

                             ❝  Sure looks like you know how to handle                              yourself. 'd be bad... Karma, or whatever,  if                              I didn't help ya at least.  Where're you tryin'                              to get to               other than away from the                              guards, huh?  ❞

           As much as he craves her submissionit’s her defiance that continues to draw him in for two simple reasons. The first is simple, the more she resists the more he wishes to break her, to make her give in to him. The second is a bit more personal. Ares has always had a thing for strong women. He may think she’s foolish for it but the fact is that in the face of the god of war’s domination she hasn’t backed down in her actions and certainly not in her remarks.

                                          “Oh, is that it? And here I thought you were                                           going to enjoy this.”

       This time it’s he who has the words laced with sarcasm as his fingers knead the skin that hides just beneath thin garbs. It’s clear that while he’s susceptible to many of her tactics, he isn’t falling for her claim that her enjoyment of the punishment has no baring on this. She enjoys this and he’s determined to get her to admit it. The cry she lets out is a mere first step to that. Again he raises his hand, palm coming down to echo again. This time he holds it there, leaning closer against her. Ares is pretty sure her praise is mocking and it only makes him more determined as his fingers tighten around her wrists. The hand resting on her ass, grips the fabric, threatening to tear it.

                               ”Is that so? Well, I’m glad to finally start getting                                your approval.”

                    And a fool she is; constantly daring a little too much as though she wears a death wish upon rosy lips, which part as his digits curl into her skin, hiking up the delicate fabric of her dress ever slight before his hand smacks down against her again. Her whole body twitches with a meek cry, her knuckles turned a pale alabaster from how harshly she digs her fingernails into her palms, a sharp breath as her guise of control as she resists leaning into the grasp of his hand against her rear.

                                   ❝  Don't get too cocky, now -- you're                                    only just. living up to your name.     ❞

                    Bent over with her hands grasped harshly against wood, there is not much she can do to either resist or spur on; she is defenseless except for her tongue, onto which she resorts heavily, amethyst gaze fluttering over her shoulder, sharp feline hues only challenging him ever further.

Her words illicit a growl from him because as true as it may be you don’t just tell a god like Ares that he isn’t as clever as he thinks he is. Especially if you can be killed. But apparently it’s just another  example of Meg standing out. And more reason  for him to be drawn in. Hands drift from her waist snatching her claws from his chest to hold them firmly. He will strip her of her power and defiance  until she’s begging for more, of that he’s positive.

  “You almost sound like you want to be punished.”

Ares is practically certain she does but part of him wants to hear a defense, a rebuttal of any kind. Just to drive him further. Without a word he breaks from her turning her around. Raising her arms above her head he constricts both wrists in one large palm. She may be defiant but physically she’s simply no match for the god of war. The freed hand roams down the curvature  of her spine before settling above the jut of her rear.

"If i’m so predictable then you probably know what’s coming next.”

The words are a husky whisper said against the back of her neck. There’s a moment’s pause before the sound of his hand coming down echos through the trees.

                    There's two ways, really, that this can go down; she can either be killed for own arrogance and hubris, or they can both simply get what they want. She's fine with walking along that delicate line -- it was a victory for her either way, all simply falling into a matter of whether or not she would go down complacently or with her claws and teeth bared. He grasps at her wrist and any attempt to protest is futile as he overpowers her. 

                                   ❝  It's less about whether or not I want to be                                    punished;  more about whether or not you'll                                    stick to your promises                     or if you'll                                    chicken out.  ❞

                    Quip comes easy even as desire takes the reins, and she narrows her eyes at him, maybe even dares to lean up just a little closer, ever so defiant -- until she is spun around without so much a peep, her hands finding purchase against the bark of a tree where he presses against her. She bites down on her lower lip to suppress her gasp, simply refusing to give him the satisfaction that he'd caught her by surprise. Her nails scrape against the bark as if to mimic the motion of his hand trailing down the slope of her spine, the dip of her hips, and she merely tilts her head to the side, allowing auburn tresses to fall down her shoulder, his breath prickling hot against her skin, her low hum in response much more akin to a purr than anything else.

                    Even with all of her resistance and anticipation, when his hand strikes against her rear, she can't help but let out a sharp cry, though she immediately settles for rolling her hips back against him, as though she is unfazed by the numbing, tingling pain, a smirk upon her lips as she gazes over her shoulder.

                                   ❝      Now you're provin' yourself to be more --                                    godlike.      ❞

your theme is wonderful! how did you get it to have the box?

oh gosh, thank you so much uwu

the gist of it is basically you have to futz around with your “entries” or “entry” setting (this varies from theme to theme so i can’t really help you much without knowing what theme you use — it usually is like whatever div id/class property comes immediately “{Block:Posts}” — because that’s what indicates the… beginning of the chunk of your posts, which is what you wanna box up!).

you basically have to set a height (in addition to the width that might already be there i think), and then add an “overflow: auto;” property (that’s how you get it to scroll, rather than for it to just cut off after however many px you set your height at). oh, and there might be a "top:" or "margin-top" property that you might want to also play around with, as that'll change where your box begins, height-wise.

you can add border properties too if you want to have a clear sorta outline for the box.
