Wendy nodded at that. “Yeah, interesting.” She said wryly. “My kids always seem to be getting into some kind of trouble at the library.” She chuckled a bit at that. “We’ll see how it goes I guess. Oh yeah? Maybe you could come by then! I think we were going to do a story time too. I’m sure the kids would love to have someone other than boring old Ms. Darling read to them” She grinned up at Ruby.
"Oh, I bet Belle just loves that." Ruby murmured with a half-smile on her lips. She imagined that Belle actually did quite like having people in her library. Especially children. She seemed like the type that would like having children around. "You want me to read to your class? I'm not sure about that. You could ask Belle though, I'm sure she'd love to." she chuckled softly, "And you're not boring, Wendy."

Rose smiled. She liked this woman. “Oh, I’ve been to places very far away, both in space and time. Furthest I’ve been in space was about 500,000 lightyears away.” she smiled to herself. “Boy was that a fun trip. And in time, I went to the year 5 billion an’ saw the sun expand an’ the Earth get roasted.” She took a chip from the basket. “Had chips tha’ day too…”
500,000 lightyears sounded like an impossible amount to Ruby. It was an awful lot for her mind to handle and she was having trouble comprehending it. As well as the year 5 billion. That seemed unbelievable. But as unbelievable as being Little Red Riding Hood and the wolf? Yeah, kinda. "Woah..." she murmured, trying to wrap her head around it.

“You’re a werewolf aren’t you?” She asked her as she watch her take a seat across from her. When she was asked on where she was from she smiled a bit. “I’m from New York.” She told her simply. “And it’s East from here, I think.”
Ruby gave her a look when she asked about it, "Yes, but keep your voice down about it, the townsfolk aren't necessarily okay with it." Mostly because she'd been framed for murder by David's father and now half the town knew her secret. "New York? Like...the city? You're not from another world?"

“Hey Ruby! Can I help you with something?”
"Hey Belle, uh, maybe. I brought you some sandwiches and a couple of muffins we had going spare at the diner." She put her basket on the desk. "But that aside, I am kind of looking for something to read."

”Hi Ruby.”
"Hey, Snow."
Wendy smiled at Ruby. But she was slightly distracted today, with Graham’s unexpected return and him wanting to hide from prying eyes, especially Regina. She was determined to keep him safe, he was hiding out on her sailboat for now. And she was worried. “Hmmmm?” She asked. “Oh, not really. We were going to take a little field trip to the library later. They need new books to read.” She laughed a bit.
Ruby noted the other woman's distraction and decided not to mention it. She was probably stressed about having a busy day or something. It wasn't Ruby's place to go poking into other people's business, so she didn't. "Oh, to the library? That should be interesting." It was nice that the library was back open now. "I might drop by the library myself later actually," she mused aloud.
Julia looked up and smiled. She waved to the lady behind the counter, "Halito! Hello! I was wondering if I could get some coffee."
Ruby smiled at the other woman, "Sure, we do coffee," she said with a nod. She turned and grabbed the coffee pot and a mug, pouring the hot liquid into the mug and passing it to the woman.

Words which were barely spoken above a whisper wouldn’t reach the ears of others in the diner. Maybe Ruby just didn’t like talking about being a werewolf, who was Clary to judge? “I make my living off knowing what’s what— and keeping it a secret. Don’t worry about it, I won’t say the dreaded word aloud again.”
It wasn't that Ruby had a problem with being a werewolf, not now she had the wolf under control, but she was still edgy that some of the people in town didn't know (though most did) and quite a few still didn't really like it. It was just a touchy subject. "Thanks. I just...y'know how people are." She paused, "What do you mean it's your job to know what's what?"

“Really? You’d do that?” He said looking hopeful “that would be lots of fun.”!
Ruby grinned at him, "Sure. I'm sure your mom wouldn't object. I'll just get the okay from Granny." She turned and trotted into the kitchen where her grandmother was, clearing up the time off and promising to take another shift the next day if she had to before dancing back to Henry. "Alright. Let's go do something fun."

“Hello Ms. Lucas” Regina said formally, though she flashed the woman a small smile. “Could I have a coffee to go please?”
Ruby returned the smile warmly, "Of course," she said with a nod, setting about making the coffee. "Busy day?" She asked, wondering if Regina was in the mood to make conversation or not.
“Thank you. It’s much better than-” Rapunzel. She almost let it slip. Squinting her eyes she shook her head and took a sip of her soda.
“Oh so you’re Granny’s Ruby then. I hear her talk about you sometimes She’s really nice. Is it fun living with your grandma? I’ve never had a grandma before… both my parents parents passed away before I was born and I never met them. Then again I wasn’t raised by my parents so… it’s been just me and mother, for the time being. I do waitress stuff at John’s bar. I don’t think I’ve seen you there and I’m usually really good with face. Oh! Wow I-I’m sorry I’m rambling right? When I get nervous I kinda keep talking and forget how to stop and ask a lot of- Is it fun working for the sheriff? Have you met any ruffians? Are there ruffians in Storybrooke? I haven’t met any.”
Ruby tilted her head to the side slightly as the girl broke off mid sentence. Well, if she didn't like her 'fairytale' name, then Ruby wouldn't press it. She smiled and nodded to the next statement, "I am indeed Granny's Ruby."
She paused for thought, "I love my Granny very much," she said after a moment, "My parents are both dead, so she's all I have." It was probably best not to mention that she'd been the one that had killed her mother. Not that she'd had a choice at the time, she'd been trying to kill Snow.
She then shook her head, "No, I haven't been to John's, I tend to go to The Rabbit Hole," she explained. She smiled at the girl's rambling, it was kinda cute. "Don't worry about the rambling thing, I don't mind talking. It breaks up the monotony."
She laughed softly, "Ruffians? That's not really my area, I'm kinda good at finding things, but I don't think we have any ruffians in town," Pirates, maybe, but ruffians? Not really.

The place looked like the typical run-of-the-mill small town diner, and TJ almost couldn’t help but chuckle at the feel of the place. Looking over at the woman, he raised a brow before grey eyes flickered to the menu. “Uh…” Catching his bottom lip between his teeth, he thought for a minute. “I’ll just have a hamburger,” he decided, meeting her eyes once more.
The newcomer looked ever so slightly like Jefferson, Ruby mused, same facial structure. But she didn't dwell too long on it. "Sure, coming right up," she promised, writing down the order and passing it through to the kitchen. "Are you new to Storybrooke?" She asked, though she knew he was.

“Ruby,” he said, smiling a bit. He settled himself at the counter, uncomfortably aware at how long it’s been since he’d come by. “How have you been?”
Ruby smiled back at the Doctor, she propped herself up on the counter with her elbows, "I've been fine, thank you, how have you been?"
Hm. Well if it isn't our local Lupine. -Rumple smirks just slightly- Hello Dearie.
Good afternoon, Mr Gold.

Ruby looked up as the bell above the door rang, signalling someone's arrival. "Hi, What can I get for you?"
“I’m Claire… people just call me Claire, although someone calls me Brownie which I guess is pretty cool too.” Claire mumbled a little taken back by how pretty the woman was. Seemed that everyone was rather spectacular in the looks department. It honestly made her really nervous.
“What uh… what is it you do? Here I mean,” She meant Storybrooke but it could have meant the diner as well. For all she knew Ruby owned it.
"I like Claire," Ruby said with a smile, "It's a pretty name." It was an ordeal, having to try and figure out who everyone was now that the curse had broken, people were still going by their Storybrooke names but others had adopted their old names.
"Me? Uh, well, I'm a waitress, sort of. I mean, my Granny owns the place. Hence, Granny's. And I've been known to help out in the Sheriff's office." That one time, but she also helped David when Emma and Snow had been missing.
