"Happy Sexual Sunday! Or as I like to call it, everyone get naked with me day!"
"Sounds like someone is in the mood for some entertainment."
Dante sits on the top of the Institute, staring silently up at the moon as he sighs
"What's got you mopping about again?"
"Look, you just need to relax."
"Hard to relax when I can't get the formula correct, these spells can be tricky."
"CoffeeâŠCoffeeâŠCoffeeâŠ"
"Any particular brand, or are you simply a fan of caffeine."
Aileen went straight to the door as she saw the spider on her pillow next to her face. âThere is a giant spider on my pillow. Can someone please remove it..?â She asked, a little shocked that spiders that big even exist, standing outside in the hall in front of her room.
Walking through the halls reading Silas looked up seeing the mundane scurry into the hall. Tilting his head in confusion the snake watched before her frightened words hit his ear, stepping closer he looked into her room. Moving his hand upward as the spider levitated off of her pillow before being released out of the window for it to safely crawl down. "There you are," The snake spoke as he stuck his nose back into his book. "It was like it was never there."
A day of relaxation.
"That really shouldnât count," Dani said sighing, groaning lightly as she leant back in her chair. "Nothing after eight drinks should count. Anything else I agreed to after eight drinks that I should know of?"
âHide things? I donât have anything to hide and you know very well I donât have magic, so Iâll leave that to you,â she sighed, looking over the ripples of the water tilting her head to the side.
"I don't know, I am liable to keep my word even after ten drinks. I suppose that's how I get into so much trouble these days." He mulled over the thought in his mind as he leaned back in his seat placing the remote control to the side. "No, nothing other than the usual, you helped me plan out world domination and promised to act as my right hand, woman..." He jested a bit.Â
"Well then, since you're leaving it to me I suppose I best do something then." He stood up walking towards the edge of the boat as he jumped up on the railing maintaining his balance as he shifted his hands upward to either side. "What do you want to see?"
A day of relaxation.
âUnlike my names sake I donât take up archery, I do enjoy the hunt once in a blue moon though,â she said, taking off her sunglasses putting them to the side looking out into the water.Â
"Well at least part of your mythology is right." The serpent chuckled as he stood up walking to the edge of the boat gazing into the blue water below. "I don't know, I was never one for holding a name to a certain standard, I find it belittles the individuality of people."
The Art of Selfie Taking.
âEverything is nothing, or at least it amounts to nothing because we will all die in the end. Death, after all is the only thing that is guaranteed to us - I can definitely vouch for that fact even if I did manage to cheat death. Blood and chaos, doesnât sound like such a bad idea to me, but then again I would be more biased to that point of view than others.â Cale nodded as the warlock spoke about his assignment, seemed like the warlock was more than prepared for his ⊠Guests. âNo, the vampire will be the worst. I can easily compel the mundane into silence.â
"Well then Caleb, should I ever rule the world I'll be sure to let you know when it is time to wreak havoc upon the citizens. Sound fair?"
"Either way, they can scream as loud as they want. Should they get particularly annoying, I'll simply rip out their tongues. I don't have time to play soft ball with people, let alone creatures I don't really know and or care about."Â
Well now...
"Having you present is self-servitude, that as well as the self-preservation. You know something that is useful to me, you have connections I do not, you can be places I cannot go. Or rather, places that it would be unfortunate for someone like me to be." The serpent smiled a bit as she spoke of being a nice person, she was from what he could tell, a victim of circumstance though never treating herself like a victim." When she asked he stepped in closer whispering into her ear. "Betraying me." He leaned back with a smile and crossed his arms behind his back. "Iâm a business man after all, breaking a deal would leave me quite angry. I donât know how I could handle something like that."Â
"I donât need to prove Iâm a bad man, I know Iâm a bad man. But when its boring, the best way to entertain oneself is with activities they know best. I have three games I play when Iâm bored, the first one, how far can you make a lie stretch? Two, can you save the mortal? Three, the endless maze. Which do you wish to play?"
"Self preservation? Where do you plan on taking me thatâs so dangerous to your person?" She asked, raising her eyebrows at him curiously. Dani then caught his gaze, narrowing her eyes slightly at him. "Stop looking at me like you think you know anything about me," she said quietly - she really didnât need another Gerardo on her hands, he already knew too much about her. "Betraying you is what it would take ⊠And why on earth would I do that to you, Silas?" She said, looking at him, "After all I am a nice person."
"How far can I make a lie stretch? No, I do it nightly without compulsion, seriously Iâd like to see you charm and manoevre youâre way out of a hospital morgue," she scoffed, shaking her head at him. "Save a mortal? From what? Themselves? Whatâs the endless maze?"
"No where, yet, but you never know what the future may hold for you. Life is full of little additives that play, for lack of a better word, devils advocate to my point of view. Self-preservation is a variety of things to me. "I know nothing more than the information you've given me," Silas maneuvered his hands to either side. "Simply because one doesn't like hearing the truth, doesn't make it any less valid. Go ahead, tell me what you think about me?" A smirk played at his lips as he turned his attention away from her. "You'd be surprised how many 'nice' people have betrayed me, I'm not spiteful and bitter for the fun of it Dani."
"Is that a challenge? Because that wouldn't take much effort on my part either," He said with a blatant laugh. "From danger, I force two mundane to a ledge of a tall building and make them jump, first to save them wins." He tapped against the wall with a bit of a smile. "A little thing I've concocted to hide my belongings through the century, its a maze that's filled with traps, one that seems to stretch on forever. The only way through it, is to know the secret."
A day of relaxation.
Are you talking about me not wanting to drink?
"The mundane actually, you not wanting to drink is definitely something I cannot hold against you."
"Everyone has their own little quirks."
The Art of Selfie Taking.
âExactly, now they think theyâre so advanced but the second anything bad happens in their minuscule lives they turn back to god, exactly the same way they did a thousand years ago. Pathetic really, reverting to something or someone they have no idea really exists or not for help or blame,â he said, laughing to himself shaking his head. âI know what Iâve done and Iâm not scared or ashamed to admit it â to some that makes me a psychopath, not that I care at all.â
âThen youâve got yourself a deal the mundane and vampire will be the least of my problems, but Iâm going to have to get creative with the demon,â he said thinking about the job. âBy the way rogue vampires arenât the most cooperative, I hope you have somewhere quiet to stash them.â
"People like to think they're important enough that if an all powerful deity existed, they would be special enough to get their wish or blessing granted. What a peculiar race of being, I prefer the idea that everything is for nothing. Death is the end of the story, it gives it a little more urgency to be the change to want now. Though My change would unnaturally tilt the balance towards blood and chaos, but no ones perfect." He chuckled a bit. "Far from a psychopath, simply free of the need to blame others."Â
"Take your time." Silas moved taking a sip of his drink as he spoke of how noisey the vampire would be. "The mundane as well I would imagine, but luckily I have a few different safe location's where I stash my treasures."
The Art of Selfie Taking.
"You never fail to bore me with your lectures." He made a muffled sound between a chuckle and a sigh.Â
"Oh no. Last time I drank alcohol, I found myself lying on a demonic dungeon with my hands chained to the floor in Edom. Iâd rather go for just caffeine."Â
"I'm sure one day you'll find someone better suited for speaking with, but no one that will be older then you." He bopped his friends nose lightly as he laughed.Â
"Fine, have it your way, for me that sounds like a tuesday night. Then again, I did always like escaping from situations like that far more than you did."
A day of relaxation.
"How kind of you," she said, offering the warlock a small smile. Sighing to herself, she sat of the lounge chair. "I wanted some sun, thatâs all. Artemis Trang."
"Far from kind, a simple amenity." Smiling a bit the serpent sat at the edge of his chair examining the water. "Artemis, quite an interesting name. I don't suppose you take up archery?"
Well now...
âIf you âtruly wanted toâ, Iâm a âhelpful companionâ,â she repeated with a grin, looking at him unable to find an amused smile from him.  âWhich means you donât want to treat me inhumanely. Asset or not, you donât mind me which means that you have some other emotion apart from self -servitude,â she pointed out to him. Dani couldnât stop herself from laughing as she looked at him, listening to him closely. âIâm actually a nice person and I like you so, wouldnât push your buttons on purpose,â she said before pausing, âOut of morbid curiosity, what would it take to push your buttons?â
"A game of chaos, which would entail what exactly? You proving to me that your the big bad warlock," she said, faking a innocent voice as she looked at him. "You wonât be able to convince me, just like Iâll prove your everyone-is-a-self-serving-backstabber theory wrong. Youâre on Silas."
"Having you present is self-servitude, that as well as the self-preservation. You know something that is useful to me, you have connections I do not, you can be places I cannot go. Or rather, places that it would be unfortunate for someone like me to be." A day of relaxation.
"When did I ask to be taken boating?" she said incredulously, arching her brow at the warlock, lying on her side on the lounge chair.
"The ocean in fine, thereâs just not much you can do in it."
"I believe it was last night after your eighth or ninth drink."Â
"There's plenty you can do, swim, examine wild life, hide things, surf, wake boarding, or utilize magic to make beautiful things."
Dance with the Devil in the Pale Moonlight
"We could always talk about⊠the transition of words"
"Transition of words, through the ages? Or do you prefer the simple use of moving from one point in a sentence to another?"
A day of relaxation.
"I donât drink much."
"Well, the mundanes arenât worse or better than any of us."
"Well, that all depends on who you ask now doesn't it? Some people have a much different belief I can tell you that."
