How to Backup your Tumblr
I was just semi-complaining that I was still looking for a decent way to backup my +6k posts without having to use paid services or even just wordpress (which has an import from tumblr tool that asks for permission to access your blog and also make posts), when I decided to actually put some effort into my google search.
Results were positive: I have successfully backed up my blog*
*By which I mean: everything that I have ever posted. Not included: drafts, queue, likes, followers, following, comments, notes, chat.
I followed this method (word by word), and now have a 450 MB folder on my computer with the name of my blog on it containing:
1. Folder “Archive” (contains .html files listed by month) 2. Folder “Media” (contains gifs and images, mine has +1k files in it; might contain also audios but I have no way of confirming that because I’ve never reblogged an audio post from this blog) 3. Folder “Posts” (contains single .html files, each one a post; I have +4k files in it) 4. Folder “Theme” (contains only my avatar, but it might be a matter of if you have personalized themes or not) 5. .html file “Index” (by opening it it will give you the archive of your blog organized by month; clicking on a month will open up the archive for that month, and you’ll be able to read all the posts for that month as if you were on your blog**, except sans your theme graphic, with each page containing 50 posts)
**I can see gifs, links, embedded videos, tags, number of notes (but I can’t open up the notes, clearly), text is also correctly formatted.
So yeah, in case anyone wants a very quick way to back up their blog, it took me less than 10 minutes.
P.S. I didn’t have any issue, but to be on the safe side always check for spyware and virus threats before and after downloading anything.
this is actually really useful if you have an art blog full of years of work that you otherwise no longer have access to the original files. A lot of the art I have in the early days of my art blog are in that boat. I did this process JUST for that reason and I was pretty astonished at just how many pieces of media it backs up! (literally all of it) Drawings I didn’t even realize were sitting in my archive due to having been posted to text posts or undercuts, or untagged for years! It’s worth it if just for that, even if tumblr isn’t shutting down or deleting your blog.
reference.
The Times They Are A’Changin’
We will be doing some updates on here to track who’s still around and playing. The blog will be updated, our contact information will be corrected, and then we’ll be ready to roll!

Are you still active. And if so is it mostly mcu or 616 based
Yes, we are still active.
The group is mostly MCU based, though we allow 616 characters that have not yet appeared in the group and you can include 616 history in your character if you wish.

In the most wanted page, how can I figure out what the asterisk means for that particular character?
The asterik means that the character has background ties to another character (either through headcanons from another member, or because that character has already been taken once and thus has history in the team already).
If a character has an asterisk behind it, you should ask the team-blog about it so they can tell you who this character has history with so you can talk to them and there won’t be any clashes in the team.
(If you don’t agree with said history, you can totally talk it out. We have changed stuff around in the past so everyone could be happy, so just because there already has been said something about this character doesn’t mean it’s set in stone!)

What canon do you acknowledge in the Agents of SHIELD timeline?
We follow canon as long as it doesn’t directly contradict the development that happened in the team (for example, Coulson is not director of SHIELD). It’s a bit hard to count the things that are different, especially since not everyone on the team is watching the show, so in case of specific events it’s always best to sk, but unless stated otherwise, you can assume it happened.

Oh yeah just in case some team members missed this: Ultron has now been created and exists!
Hey, Peter Quill here. Call me Star-Lord. What? You mean you haven't heard of me? Star-Lord? The...
Some call it a wonder that the alien ships have fled. Some say it’s thanks to the work of superheroes all over the world, fighting the Skrulls whereever they had appeared.
And there are some who argue that the aliens got what they wanted or that this was simply a first try, to find out how hard Earth would fight back.
Whatever the reason, the traces of the fights are clear to see for everyone and while they count their losses and wait for updates from the other countries, people realize one thing: this planet is still vulnerable for other species to attack.
It’s a sunny, hot day - or it was, until out of the blue (quite literally) shadows appear on the sky, hovering just about the city, with reports coming in from other countries who experience the same phenomena.
For a good while, nothing really happens, even the beams of light the ships shoot into the sky seem to be just that - beams of light.
Then though, smaller aircrafts move from the bigger ships and descend. The Skrulls are finally on the move.
Arc Wrap Up
Over the weekend we want to wrap up the Skrull arc. There are other things planned that will come soon, but first we will finish this.
Saturday and Sunday will be the final battle - since Independence Day falls onto this day and everyone has differend schedules, this will not be a coordinated event, to avoid people having to wait for each other. Instead, people are free to write out fights with other members however they want - so basically normal RPing, just with the background that aliens are attacking earth.
On Sunday evening there will be a final drabble and then the arc will officially be closed, although ongoing threads can of course be continued.
You do not have to participate in the event itself, but please be aware that this will be a team-canon event and the verse will be affected by it.
There is red light flickering on the ship and an alarm blasting through it, alerting every Skrull on it. One of their prisoners is gone, and they know that this in addition to their security leaks on earth means the humans will soon figure out where they are. Their tech might be inferior, but even they can’t stay blind forever. There has been enough time for preparation - the Skrulls need to strike now and do it quickly, and maybe there wouldn’t be too much trouble with overcoming the humans, even considering their...allies.
As the ships let down their cover to start moving, the escape pot with Gwen Stacy -the real one- in it entered earth’s atmosphere, shot across the sky and left a trail of burnt and fallen trees as it finally landed in a forest, waiting to be found.
