Aleixo made a sleepy, soft sound of contentment when Regulus kissed his chin, throwing one leg over the demon’s hip so that he could cuddle close.  It would have been all too easy to fall asleep like that, wrapped up in the other man and surrounded by his comforting scent, but the demon’s words woke him up a bit more and Aleixo frowned.  “Trouble?  What trouble?”  He asked, pulling back slightly to look at Regulus, looking him over carefully for any kind of hurt.  “Who do I have to yell at?”  It was entirely unlike him to offer to shout at a master, but this was Regulus and Aleixo wouldn’t have him being hurt by anyone.  He seemed alright, at least.  The phoenix huffed quietly, diving back in for a cuddle.  “Don’t be silly, you’re not an idiot.”

A sheepish grin broke across his face at the image of his precious phoenix stomping towards a vampire and yelling their ears off them. A sight to behold, but no he wouldn’t want for Aleixo to actually get into trouble especially on behalf of him. “Shh..there’s no need for that. Pretty sure they don’t really meant to harm me and just trying to get back at me for pulling their leg before.” Regulus let out a content hum, nuzzling at Aleixo’s adorable nose when he dove back in for a cuddle. “But I was being one. A right idiot.” His hold tightening around Aleixo’s form slightly. “I know I’ve been a bit..ah..distant of late. And I am truly sorry for that. I wasn’t even around during your heat despite promising to be there for you.”

Friendly Spar || Open

Finn was stoked the castle decided to host another tournament. He’d been itching for another go at Krovs’ fight club, never one to turn down any kind of challenge. He claimed one of the punching bags in the gym to warm up, throwing rapid fire punches into the leather bag with decent force. Obviously he wasn’t going to show off everything he had up his sleeve before jumping in the ring, but he could use a partner. Training was always more fun with another person. 

“Hey, you,” he called out to the person walking past as he easily stopped the swing of the punching bag with one hand. “Wanna go a few rounds together? Could use a nice, friendly spar before the tournament.”

Once they were done with breakfast (though in Regulus’ case it was merely a mug of coffee with extra dose of pining as he watched Aleixo eat), the demon donned a grey hoodie and made his way towards the gym. The place had been transformed into a training space, so it was no surprise that there were already few others occupying it when he arrived. His steps came into a halt when a familiar voice called out to him. Turning to face him, the demon’s lips curled into a wide grin as he pushed back the hood so that he could meet Finn’s gaze. “How can I be sure that you’re not axtually trying to steal some of my moves before the tournament instead?” Regulus muttered out playfully.

When word of the fight club came around again, Kang decided this year that he was going to enter. He had been a bit preoccupied when the first one had been organised, but the kirin figured that he could use this one to blow of some steam and fight some vampires in the process. 

He found himself in the gym that evening. The space had been closed off for fighters to train before the tournament began and Kang had found a training dummy to practice with for awhile before he noticed someone from the corner of his eye. He placed a final blow against the wood and sent the flying device backwards with a newfound vampiric strength that he was still getting used to. 

“Are you taking part in the tournaments as well?” he asked with a smile as he turned towards the other man. “Would you like a sparring partner?“

He was no frequent visitor of the gym. Whatever fighting style, skills or endurance he equipped himself were mostly born out of instict and experiences. That, and also what Angel doesn’t know how to fight? Granted, he was a Fallen and had been a shitty case of celestial too when he was one, but that didn’t actually wiped out the fact that he was made to serve and fight for God in the beginning. Having partaken the previous tournament, Regulus figured that he should at least get used to the training space a little bit earlier than before. And if he was lucky and observant enough, he might as well be able to grasp what kind of opponents he might come across with this time around. Regulus was wrapping up his hands at a corner when someone turned to talk to him. “I am, can’t help but to be tempted with the prize.” Also the fights would work wonderously to keep his mind busy after all, other than being a platform to release his pent up energies. His gaze wandered over the other male briefly before his lips curled into an easy grin. “Well if you’re offering yourself, yes. I would love a sparring partner.”

It had been strange to go to sleep without Regulus next to him, the phoenix used to it by now, but he’d just assumed the other man had been off having some kind of fun and he couldn’t complain.  So he’d curled up in bed after waiting awhile and was woken up some time later by the demon crawling into bed next to him.  “Regulus?”  He mumbled groggily and shifted to wrap himself more around the other man, wrapping an arm around him with a sigh.  “Where were you?”

“Hey, sleeping beauty.” Regulus murmured, arching his neck slightly just so that he could kiss Aleixo’s chin. He buried his face against the phoenix’s chest once again, humming contently as they both wrapped themselves around each other even more. “Got into a lil’ bit of trouble.” The demon mumbled, fingers reaching out to tangle with Aleixo’s free ones. “Don’t worry about that though, they just kept me bound to a suite with a spell. I’m not hurt or anything.” Regulus paused with a sigh before looking up to meet Aleixo’s gaze next. Being apart from the phoenix had him thinking back to how he had been pulling away from Aleixo after the Baku incident and for some reasons it made him felt a little uneasy deep inside; he promised that he would always be around for Aleixo after all and if being around includes having a decent talk with each other about the dream, then so be it. Although, that would also mean adressing his feeling towards the phoenix and fuck Regulus would rather be trapped inside the dream forever. Thankfully his mouth was always capable of operating on its own accord and so he was mumbling out his apology next despite the utter chaos inside his mind. “And I am..sorry by the way. For being an idiot.”

Regulus wasn’t sure how long had time passed by when he was finally able to free himself from the suite belonging to a random master, the spell binding him to the place and seemed to have worked exceptionally on demons. He immediately made his way back to Aleixo’s next. And if he had sent a prayer upstairs for the phoenix to be there, well..it was inadvertently. Stepping inside their suite, Regulus searched the place. The master bedroom was the last place, and he can’t help it but to feel the tightness across his chest subsided once his gaze settled on Aleixo’s sleeping form. With a , he carefully and slowly climbed onto the bed before drapping himself over the phoenix, burrying his face against Aleixo’s chest and inhaling deeply his soothing scent.

Dealing with the fallout of Krovs Town had been annoying, to say the least. A majority of the castle was now moping for a life that could have been and it truly got on Matthew’s nerves. Did they not realise that it was unhealthy to be pining for that made-up life? The number of times Matthew had to roll his eyes each day since they all woke up threatened to give him migraines on the regular. 

“How rude. Is that how you would greet a friend?” Matthew asked, having stumbled across the other demon on one of his walks outside the castle. He had not been intentionally looking for Regulus, but now that he had seen him, Matthew found that it would have been nice to catch up. “What are you doing out here, Regulus?”

He almost replied with a petulant ‘Oh,are we?’ but somehow managed tostop himself from actually saying that out loud because unfortunately and while undemonic much for him to do so, Regulus did regard the other fallen angel as a friend. And he would only hate himself even more later if he did or said something that would cut down someone from his already very short list of favourite souls. “I was never nice anyway. Me being rude shouldn’t be surprising.” He let out a heavy sigh as he opened his eyes to look up at Matthew next. “Uh..just feeling like sprawling under the sun today? Why? Did any fangers sent you here to drive me away from my spot?”

If there was one person that intrigued him the most at the moment, it was this fallen angel he had never met and only heard of from others. The important thing about him, however, had nothing to do with him. It was his connection to Aleixo. Somehow, though, the man was amazingly adept at avoiding Eris without even knowing the vampire was trying to find him. And when he finally finds him, he’s sprawled out on the grass and clearly uninterested in everything. 

“Awfully presumptuous to assume I was asking a question, nevermind one where ‘no’ was an option.” He wasn’t going to force him to do anything, although he had a feeling this particular slave’s master wasn’t going to give him a talking to if he did. “I simply wanted to introduce myself, and get a look at you for myself.”

Serpentine eyes blinked open upon hearing the voice. One look at its owner had him sitting up just so he could glare at the vampire. Of all the people to come across with here at the castle. “Awfully presumptuous of you to assume that I would give a damn anyway if it’s an option or not.” Pausing just briefly to let out a huff, Regulus braced his hands behind him on the grass and leant back just slightly while regarding the other. “Pff..spare us the introduction Eris, and get a real good look of ol’ me before I leave. Which is in a minute.”

He wondered if it was possible to stare into the sun long enough to go blind beyond fixing. Might be interesting to know. Not interesting enough to experiment on himself right now though while he laid flat on his back across the grass in a secluded corner of the garden. Funny the kinds of thoughts popped up when one has the moment all to themselves. Just right before the provoking thought to challenge the sun, his minds had admitedly wandered back towards the somewhat collective dream the whole castle had been put on for the past few days. It shouldn’t bothered him much, he knew it was too perfect to be true. But somehow it still left him in a rather strange mood when he had finally awaken from it. 

The fallen angel didn’t really expected to be bothered out here,away from almost everyone, but the tell-tale snap of a branch said that was, indeed, what was about to happen. Regulus would have rolled his eyes if they had been open.

“Not a step closer.” he said before the other person could speak first for themselves, “And my answer is no. I don’t care.”

It had been a slower day at QualiTea and so Aleixo had decided to close shop up early, sending his employees home with some tea and treats before he wandered up to apartment upstairs to grab a book.  He came back down, turned on some quiet, soothing music on his phone, and curled up in one of his very favorite armchairs.  It was overstuffed, the fabric a soft baby blue and it was almost always the spot Aleixo claimed when he wasn’t working.  He’d gotten to a point in the book that was very engrossing and wasn’t at all aware that someone had walked into the shop until Regulus kissed him on the cheek.  Aleixo brightened up immediately and gave his husband a happy smile.  “Hi, hon.”  He reached up to pull him down into a quick kiss.  “Everything’s alright, just thought I’d close up a little earlier.  How was work?”

Every single time. Whenever Aleixo’s handsome face would brighten up, with that perfect smile of his, Regulus swore he would fall another degree deeper in love with his husband. His life right now, with his own personal angel,frankly was heavenly enough compared to the past decades of fame. It was as if a dream, a bizarre one yet also one that he would definitely hold on to as long as he could. He let out a faint sound of protest when the brief kiss ended,somewhat reluctant for their lips to be parted. A soft sigh followed up next upon hearing Aleixo’s reply. “Ah..a slow day huh? That’s alright then, there’s always tomorrow to look forward to.” Ever since the few events where Aleixo had been slightly harassed by snooping media persons and the more ‘aggresive’ ones of his fans when they had started to be an item, Regulus had always been a little overprotective of him. Thankfully, such thing had been a rare occurance nowadays and it was definitely not something he would have to worry about for today it seemed. “Hmm..not much of walk-ins for Eden as well today. But I’ve been productive enough on my own.” Regulus smiled as he presented the flower crown he had somehow been holding behind his back, kept away from his husband’s sight up to this point. “I even made you this.” With a soft hum, he carefully moved to set it into position and beaming even wider once he somehow got it to fit around Aleixo’s head.

Carter had been holding Cassian’s hand as they approached Eden. Cassian had been talking nonstop about his Uncle Reg and Alexio all day. So Carter figured that he could have Cassian hang out with Regulus today. He had texted Alexio and he said he wouldn’t be able to join but that Regulus was most likely free. So he drove over to Eden. He started after his son when he bolted for the shop’s door and struggled to push it open. Carter smiled as he pushed against it and the boy squeezed through and ran towards Regulus. 

“Sorry, he’s been excited to see you since i told him we were going to visit.” Carter said as a way of greeting. He walked over to the pair and gave Cassian a stern look. “Remember what I said about jumping on people?” He scolded lightly, his son gave him a pout. “I didn’ mean to…I was just happy to see Unca reg!” Cassian said as he grinned up at Regulus. 

“It’s fine really,Carter. I am equally ethrilled to see my favourite little man too.” Regulus chuckled as he manouvered the boy so that he was sitting over one of his thighs next. He had always been one with a soft spot for kids.And with Cassian, that spot seemed to have doubled in size. Still, Regulus was of course aware that sometimes they still need to be reminded to behave themselves. So he looked down to meet his godson’s gaze, a soft smile plastered on his face. “I know you didn’t mean it, kiddo. You’re a bright kid. I’m sure that you are aware that jumping on people without them expecting it could be a little dangerous,yes?” His fingers moved to comb back Cassian’s rather unruly hair slightly. “After all, you wouldn’t want to make me and your dad upset if you accidentally got someone hurt one of these days, right?”

Since the day was a little slow and most of Eden’s business had been dealt with, Regulus could be found sprawled across one of the stylish couches in the shop’s lounge as he scrolled over the internet via his iPad. He was in the middle of reading a rather intriguing article when the little bell above the shop’s entrance rang. Before he could even compose himself, something or rather someone, had flung himself onto him while he was still half lying down. Luckily Regulus was used to this, a hearty chuckle leaving his lips as he gather up Cassian in his arms and proceed to hold the child’s tiny form against his. “Hey kiddo! Boy I’m glad to see you too! Where’s your dad hmm? Tell me, is he wearing his uniform now?” Of course his last question was accompanied with a playful wink sent in Carter’s direction as the other man stepped into the shop.

It was a little surprising to discover that the little “Sorry. We’re closed” sign had been hung on QualiTea’s entrance when he looked up from the flower crown he had been working on for the past few hours and had a quick glance at the shop across the street. His gaze moved almost instantly next to check on the time, brows furrowing as he moved to clean up his working space. Leaving the task to lock up the shop to his assistant, Regulus began to make his way to the cafe, slipping inside and locking the door behind him when he entered. He trailed after the faint music, locating his husband right after, settled in his favorite armchair. He cleared his throat briefly to announce himself before moving to sit slightly on the armrest as he leaned over to press a soft kiss against Aleixo’s cheek. “Hello, beloved. Saw you closed up a little early than usual. Everything’s alright?”
