Introducing Aelrue, my current primary oc/dnd/bg3 character 🌙
Rue is a high elven sorcerer from Evereska, and a former Harper. When the Spellplague struck in 1385 (yes I know it’s 4e), she was permanently disfigured, her magic was corrupted, and she was exiled from her home.
Her mission now is one of a solo Harper: to destroy from within every organisation that extorts victims of the Plague: the Sanatorium in Neverwinter and the Order of Blue Fire are the first on her list.
I quite enjoy body horror and light gore, so I’m still in the process of designing her spellscar. The illustrations of the spellscarred that remain from 4e don’t quite line up with the literature on how the spellscarred were pariahs, feared and segregated away from normal, polite society. Any recs for facially disfigured characters, especially women, are most welcome.
“Aelrue” as a name comes from a very minor character in Ed Greenwood’s “Elminster in Hell.”
