He was born in the battlefield ---dramatic, I know, but bear with me here; his mother was one of the leaders of a group of outcasts that was on Kronosâ side for whatever reason she had. As a daughter of Nemesis, she was quite the opponent.
She was very intelligent as well, being able to use a façade to get herself into Ares arms to give birth to a child designed for war and war only.
Asterius (Â yes, named just like the Minotaur )Â was born and from the moment he could stand, his mother put weapons on his hands and the bow became his favorite choice. Of relentless determination and violent disposition, Asterius world consisted of battles, monsters and objetives most of the time. These battles, of course, included fighting demigods more than once causing him to get a reputation around camp half-blood (Â which he never got to attend of course ).
He was loyal to his group and the cause without asking too many questions, why would he? He was fighting for the right thing. A submissive disposition to those in charge proved to be of great use for the leaders, but then, a sparkle of empathy changed everything for him.
It was a rough battle with monsters and demigods included, everybody was fighting and slaughtering in equal amounts and when Asterius got into a fight with an Olympian demigod, he fought relentlessly until the other was disarmed and on the ground. His own weapon remained dangerously close to the otherâs neck as he heard his motherâs orders to finish his opponentâs life.  BUT HE COULDNâT.  The fear in the otherâs eyes and the odd kinship between both made him hesitate despite his motherâs words (wanted).  A few seconds were enough before something hit him hard enough to knock him out.
When he woke up it was just his group surrounding him with severe expressions. He was being accused of treason for not being able to follow an order and as punishment, he deserved no place in their lines. With a cold demeanor, his mother ordered to leave him there in the middle of nowhere, wounded and alone with no weapons to fend himself from the monsters that were still in the area.
HE WAS ABANDONED.  Asteriusâ willpower weakened enough at the realization that he had been fighting for a group ---FOR A MOTHER--- that cared not about him. With honor and pride injured he decided to let himself perish at whatever threat found him first, but as he closely lost consciousness, he felt himself being dragged and picked up.
Asterius woke up healed and patched up in that goddamn Camp Half-Blood, saved by the very same enemies he swore to destroy at some point. His aggressive attitude made it hard for him to let his guard down, but seeing that he had nowhere else to go, he owed the Olympians at least some patience (Â again, trust and loyalty were very important to him ).
Slowly, he recovered and while he wasnât allowed to spend much more time in the Camp, he was allowed to heal and explain his situation. Asterius was offered a place amongst the Olympians and while he was disgusted by the idea (Â still quite hurt that Ares hadnât presented himself even once ), he knew he would be a target the moment he stepped out.
So thatâs how he arrived to Fates University in an attempt to become stronger and track down those who wronged him in the past. Asterius doesnât really fight for a side, he fights for his own ideals and wants nothing to do with any of the groups in the end.
Rebellious in nature, but loyal to the end, Asterius has a difficult personality that makes him a difficult one to create bonds with, although he feels quickly connected to those who have a strong determination and will usually be sympathetic to his rivals to the point of endorsing them in battle. He is chaotic and morally gray; he can be very protective to those he gets to care about but doesnât know how to do affection, because he has never received it?? (Â pls give him affection and break him ).

aresâ blessing - usually during battle or high fits of rage, makes the demigod temporarily invincible and surrounded by fire. Happened just once when he was an hormonal teen, hasnât happened again, but may happen in the future if triggered enough.
can easily start a fight between others - why do I feel this is more of his petty words than anything magical?
can manipulate feelings of anger and hatred in others - doesnât know he can do this YET.
extensive knowledge and expertise of weaponry - he was a walking weapon, so this was also taught to him since he was very young.
