Theme: Courageous, Sub-theme of 'Breaking the Cycle'
Explanation under the cut for my LOZ!BOTW!OC
When Link dies and is put into the Resurrection Shrine, the spirit of the hero keeps traveling. Years into the future, *this* Link is raised by the spirits of the forests and the wild, thus becoming the Hero Of the Wild.
They hear the voice of Zelda guiding them and the hero travels across the land, slaying monsters and trying to save the Divine Beasts. But because they cant access Shikah Tech, Zelda urges them to wake OG!Link, who *does* have the tech.
When Wild (Wild!Link) wakes Origin (Original!Link), he's so weak from being brought back that they take him around the kingdom and train him in the wildness.
Wild is jealous of Origin because he has the actual skill and tech to help save the Divine Beasts and the Princess, when they could only take care of the weaker monsters.
Origin is jealous of Wild because they have their memories and life to live, helping the knowing the people and the land. Meanwhile Origin has had his life taken, left with memories of places and people who no longer exist, and a goddess who seemingly doesn't care.
But Crazy stuff happens when more than One Hero exists, and Wild's more extreme self corrupts under the influence of the Blood Moon, and Calamity Ganon-- And in the End sacrifices themself to help Kill the calamity for good, freeing Origin and the Princess from the repeating cycles.
This year, I decided to go with poetry prompts rather than song lyrics, as I found I struggled a lot to find songs whose tone and lyrics both matched the themes I wanted to use.
I make these lists for my Discord server, but anyone is welcome to use them.
