do you think sonar was born a hybrid or that he was turned into one?

I do think He was born a Hybrid and the Megabat form manifested when he was a teenager.

He also have a special dialogue if you send him talk to the mole people living under torrance. So i suppose its easy to assume that they are born this way and not turned, kinda like BNA.

can you walk us through the process of drawing Sonar? I really love your drawings and they are inspiring me to pick up a pencil again! yet I'm quite struggling with the whole bat face thing

My tip is pretty much keep drawing, his anatomy will come naturally to you with time and patience. Just break the ice first and eventually drawing him will get easier and easier ! Its ok to not get him right on your first try or be off model on certain days, nothing have to be perfect! As you can see with the example bellow
