but Denji tells this guy "i WANT people to know it's me."

right after, he says "because if they do the ladies will be all over me"

which is something common with Denji: reflection and avoidance. he wants someone to see him for him, but he's also playing his chainsaw man part because that's what everyone loves, *not him*

it could also be the fact that Power told him "find the blood fiend, make them remember you, and bring me back"

so maybe he's trying to attract the blood fiend too? oh my god it's such a simple chapter but MY BRAIN

I think Denji is one of the most mischaracterised characters ever because everyone writes him off as "horny pervy teen" instead of "traumatised teenager who doesn't understand that sexual touch isn't the only way to convey affection and someone uses that as a manipulation tactic"
