Context:The whole week you had been feeling like someone was watching you, an eerie feeling that crept up your back every walk home. Was someone really watching you or where you just scared of the dark night? Or is it a vampire?
everyday this week you’ve been feeling slightly uneasy whilst walking home from work. like someone is watching you. the creeping feeling up your back hasn’t left and you started to worry, thinking that maybe you had a stalker or maybe it was just the dark cold night that was making you anxious. ~ you finished work and said bye to your coworkers, then made your way down your usual route home.
there it was again. that eerie feeling crawling up your back. you turned around multiple times hoping to see anything or anyone, but there was nothing. just you and the dark of night. but then you heard something. it was very quiet, but since you’re already on edge your senses are heightened. a twig snapped. you shot round hoping to see someone, or maybe a fox or a stay cat, but again. nothing. but then something moved from behind a tree. a figure. tall. you stopped for a second, heart racing, then decided to start walking again. faster this time. turning back thinking you’d see the person only to see just the tree. no figure. that’s weird you thought maybe it was a shadow of another tree you said to yourself, trying to ease your nerves. that was until you saw it again. the same figure standing behind another tree. this time it was on the other side of the road to you. speeding up, you tried to tell yourself that it’s just your imagination. there’s no one there. i’m just making myself more scared. you finally made it home ten minutes after that and felt a lot more relaxed and safe.
the next week had arrived and you had forgotten all about that weird feeling you’d been getting all last week, and you forgot about that figure. or so you thought. finishing your monday shift, you again bid your coworkers a goodbye and made your way home. the walk home was going well, you were calm, listening to your music and was thinking about what to make for dinner. but then you saw that figure again. this time it was behind a tree that was further in front of you. stopping in your tracks you thought if you should turn around and walk another way home, or call a friend to pick you up. but when you looked back to the tree, there was no figure. that’s creepy. since you couldn’t see anyone behind the tree , you continued walking your normal route. this is too weird. suddenly you felt a gush of wind blow past you, it was quick and made you jump. the trees and leaves weren’t blowing though. now your heart was racing and you froze in fear. that feeling of someone watching you was back, and it felt strong.
again that sudden gush of wind flew past you. this time you were able to turn quick enough to see where it was coming from. a person. no one should be able to move that fast. you took off running. this just got extremely scary. that feeling of being watched never left, even though you felt like you were running for your life. then you felt strong hands grab hold of you and you were then moving faster than you ever have before. you shut your eyes thinking this is all a weird dream somehow, but then you stopped moving. opening your eyes, you now found yourself in an alleyway. you were out of breath, and now didn’t know where you were. looking down the alley both ways, you saw that same figure. you took off running the opposite way only to be met with a hard chest. stumbling back, you felt a hand grab yours.
looking up at whoever had just grabbed your hand, you were met with a beautiful man. His eyes deep brown, hair black as charcoal. His skin was smooth and pale. His hands here cold, he was kind of intimidating. You pulled your hand from his and stepped back. What was he? How did he move that fast? At this point he hadn’t done anything to you but you still didn’t know if he was a threat. You began thinking about everything. He stands ominously behind trees, can move super fast, his skin is pale and he’s extremely gorgeous, his hands are freezing. “vampire” you spoke, barely a whisper. He smiled and his razor sharp teeth were exposed. You stepped back in fear, is he going to bite me, his smile dropped “i’m not going to hurt you” even his voice was beautiful. You didn’t speak, you didn’t even know what to say. A vampire had been stalking you all last week and now he’s saying he won’t hurt you. “what do you want then” you said shakily “you’re pretty, i wanted to see you up close”. Okay now this just got weird. He could have just came to you like a normal person, right. “You didn’t need to stalk me” “i’m sorry, it’s in our nature” our? there’s more? You didn’t know what to do, this was insane. A vampire, a predator stood right in front of you, saying he wouldn’t hurt you and that you’re pretty. “I have to go” you stuttered. “of course” he looked like someone just stole all his candy, “can i at least get your name first” you gave him your name and started to walk, hesitantly, making sure he wouldn’t suddenly attack you when you turned around. “goodnight (y/n).” He smiled, his teeth on display again. “goodnight” and with that he sped off the other way.
You got home and sat down on your couch. Unable to think properly, because what the hell just happened. A vampire? It can’t really be possible, but it is. You were still scared and confused but one thing you were clear about is that he had an extremely handsome face. When would you see him again? Why didn’t he attack? Questions ran through your mind, you were scared but there was also curiosity. “he didn’t even give me his name”…
