I haven’t written about bts in a while bc I just haven’t been that into bts anymore. I’m not going to delete my account or any of my work because I’m honestly quite proud of it and may eventually return to it. Analyzing RM’s albums are still at the top of my to do list as I still listen to his music all the time.
I’m hoping with their new album I’ll fall in love with their music again, but seeing how they have turned more into influencers than musicians, I’m just not feeling them HARDCORE anymore.
The latest news of them going to a charity event just to party and not even raise money doesn’t help the image that has been going around of them lately that they have lost their original morals that they started with. BTS was originally anti-media, anti-government, and anti-control. They seem to be turning into everything they once were against.
I’m trying to hold out hope for them but I can admit the band doesn’t hold much sway to me right now. I still listen to their music casually, but I’m not deep in the fandom like I once was. Living in Korea and meeting SO many koreaboos who openly admit to coming here just to have a glimpse of an idol or live a kdrama fantasy has also soured my attachment to the fandom.
I have a smalllllll glimmer of faith that the new album will hopefully be like their old stuff and confront serious issues like government and enlistment (since they literally enlisted as a big f u to the president who was using them) but I have a bigger hunch it’s gonna be all USA top 100 radio hits music again like butter and PTD 😭

IM NO LONGER AN ARMY WIFE!! My mans is free!!! Ive been catching up on his lives and am sad to hear that he had such bad insomnia but he has said before that he’s a very light sleeper so I imagine it would have been rough for him to sleep in barracks. Plus I bet his mind was always racing.
In his live, when he said that he feels like military has changed him so much that he doesn’t even like his house artwork anymore and that he wants to put it in storage, it HURT ME. I love his art noooo
I was a little annoyed at him saying that he felt he was fat at 80 kg. I like when he’s super buff!!
I can’t wait for BTS to get active again so I can get inspired to write about Namjoon. I have all of his lyrics in a folder. I haven’t written anything in a longggg time. I have no free time anymore to just sit and write because of my stressful time consuming job. Weekends where I do have free time, I’m having to run errands or catch up on rest and healing time and writing is the last of my priorities.
Also… 😗 anybody in Korea and going to BTS Festa? I’m thinking of going on Saturday but it’s all the way in Ilsan 😪 let me know if you are 👀
Seeing how much of a disaster it was today on Friday idk if I want to make the hour trip out to ilsan for Saturday 😬 people were waiting ALL DAY and lines were 1 km long in the heat. It’s supposed to rain all day Saturday too 😭

idols cant predict how its going to turn out for them but drinking on stage is a shit way of saying fuck you to the fans who pay to see it.
Have you ever been to a punk or rock concert? I have seen Matty Healy chug wine on stage, the lead singer of Cage the Elephant snort a line then stage dive, and like half the line up of SXSW drink onstage. It’s not a new concept.
You’re just hating on Jackson because your bias did something you didn’t like and that you can’t control.
sorry to sound apathetic towards idols and their personal struggles but what do they expect their fans to do? its up to the idol themselves to get themselves the help they clearly need, their audience is as mentally ill as the idol then it says a lot about what the idol is actually promoting, all the bad toxic things to young fans. drinking on stage? really is that how lowly these concerts have become, ive turned away from bands for this very reason i do not want to see a band member of any group drunk on stage what are people paying a lot of them for? a decent performance. u either have to have ur head screwed on properly or its going downhill for them.
sorry to also say this but got7 never gave me good vibes, u guys clearly dont know who u are following when u get into idol groups so again the expectations that u expect them to not have scandals is baffling more to the point if an idol of their agency is clearly going through something only they can intervene. i dont know what anyone else is expected to do in such cases. we see an idol behind the screen yes they have it hard but they always fail to look at what their fans do for them and how little they seem to appreciate the things they have been able to bring people which should be good solid performances. im so tired of pitying idols especially those who chose to sign their life away they do that then ruin it for themselves and others. jackson will become another liam payne if he doesnt get his act together and this is why im against people having fame at a young age. it changes the, negatively in a short span of time they go from thinking they are all that their fans view them for and then it gets to their head and they start drinking and doing drugs. seen it too many times been in too many fandoms to know this is how it always turns out. if they dont have a good head on their shoulders they always let fame get to them in the worst possible ways.
and the fact that ordinary people are expected to "understand" what people in the public eye experience is mind boggling too, i dont care to know cause i dont know idols and i dont know them or their problems. if ur trying to be a good role model then drinking on stage its not exactly what they set out to do? its problematic behaviour that gets excused as a reason for oh he or she is calling out for help. bullshit. if it was an ordinary person nobody would batter an eyelid at them. but when its an idol everyones all woe is the idol.
omg thank u for reblogging that post about jackson. i'm also a disappointed fan. :/ tbh being a kpop fan is exhausting because if one section of the fandom tries to hold someone accountable or call them out for being problematic, everyone else comes to that person's defense without doing their due diligence and operating under the assumption that a person/group they are a fan of can do no wrong.

Wayyyy back when that Pepsi stuff happened I was going off on here I was so mad at him it kind of made me fall out of the group for a while. I had to step back and just enjoy the music, not so much the people anymore, because AmeriThaiKong have all had a scandal, JB had that erotica scandal, and Yugyeom STILL continues to support a woman beater as his favorite singer. The only “scandal-free” (publicly) are Jinyoung and Youngjae. And all these are minor scandals, mind you. Most netizens consider them a scandal-free group.
Aghases are considered globally as one of the chillest kpop fandoms ever. I remember that day in 2017 vividly. I was even one of the people in his insta comments trying to peacefully explain why what he did was wrong, but he just felt attacked. Its understandable to see why he feels that way. He had thousands of people all (calmly) saying the same thing and asking for an apology, but he was not viewing or willing to admit that his actions were wrong. The comments he made to us were totally out of line, though.
But he’s def going through something rn. He’s been videotaped drunk or at parties like 10+ times in the last 1-2 years alone. And at his London concert he was literally walking around on stage with a bottle of Hennessy. It’s like deja vu of when Kanye West did it at the 2009 MTV VMAs.. and we all remember how that turned out.
He also concerned me when he was talking to Eric Nam on his podcast a few months ago about his depression and how he’s been drinking to cope. He seems to really be crying out for help and seems to be surrounded by yes men not really listening. Typical entertainment industry stuff :(
Like if I ever met him in person, he seems like an intelligent guy based off of multiple podcasts I have watched him on, so that’s gives me hope that he would be willing to listen and change if properly explained to. I also think he just realllllly wants someone to listen to him right now and seems to be stuck in contractual obligations so he’s drinking his problems away (allegedly. Based on video evidence. Don’t sue me Jackson Wang). I am disappointed with his actions from years ago but mostly I am just very concerned about him right now.

I also just haven’t had the time. I’m so burnt out. I also just got my schedule for the new year at work yesterday. I have MORE hours. 😭

Im glad to hear I’ve made the twin flame topic a little easier to understand for you! I need to get back into writing but my to do list is sooo long I have so much I need to do that I keep procrastinating and tumblr is unfortunately at the bottom of the list. I will return to writing eventually!! I really just need to go to a cafe, sit down and write.
