PIERRE DE MAERE - Je pense à vous ❤️🔥
little bit of Jazz to soothe the soul 🎷🍷🌙
These songs bring back so much good memories 〜( ᵕᴗᵕ)*・☪︎·̩͙
I just finished watching A knight of the seven kingdoms..and ..and.. it was sooooooooooooooooo damn good guys. the problem it's so darn short I mean 6 episodes ONLY!!! and each is less than 45 min!!! this is too much I tell ya too much 💀
ppl these days are very inconsistent with what offends them and what they love..
I can't believe I stumbled upon a Jikook fic written using AI on Ao3. I was uncertain at first but I double checked and they also drop a new complete fic every week or less with 100k words count. man, we really reached that point where replacing human artistry with tech is normalized and praised.
The other day I was scrolling a list of old series, 80's and 90's in particular to watch something that I haven't watched before and I was lucky to find a British series called Prime Suspect. What made me really happy is that the leading role is by none other than Helen Mirren who I adore a lot. I've reached season 3 and I can't tell you enough how good this show is, and Helen is absolutely amazing. Highly recommend even if you are not into crime/ thriller/mystery genres.
NICE! they fixed the subs.
Beautiful words about a beautiful human, mind, body and soul 🥹
I truly hope that in his toughest and darkest times Jimin knows how much he is loved.

Joker Folie à Deux is a sequel that no one asked for and it's not even needed to begin with; the story, characters' development, entertainment and everything else stood still while the music is playing which wasn't even amusing.
I'm not a fan of musical movies and the only ones I actually like despite being such are Singing in the Rain and Hello, Dolly!, so you might ask why you went and watched it? well I was curious and I thought maybe it will be about Harley Quinn story, yk something refreshing, edgy and complicated, and the introduction was kinda at first but went down the hill afterwards.
regarding the musical aspect, the transition of characters into musical numbers didn't hit the notes right, it felt awkward and it didn't have the emotional impact they should involve following a dialogue, it was more of an interruption. The lyrics didn't provide more insight into the characters or the plot whatever that was, so if you remove these songs you won't feel something missing and the movie will still sucks. to me, they are just fillers in this chaotic mess.
now about casting, Harry Lawtey as Harvey Dent was a big big mistake, he doesn't fit the role at all. now for Lady Gaga I can understand their choice but they didn't even give her enough script to be Harley Quinn: the Joker's equal. she was underused in that matter; they simply left her in the background most of the movie. therefore, she didn't stand out as an actress, but as a singer with powerful vocals.
the movie is awful, boring and frustrating and the songs are mediocre at best, personally they annoyed me. I gotta admit tho, both Todd Phillips's cinematography and artistic approach are amazing and Joaquin phoenix delivered a great performance but it was so wasted due to bad writing and thin narrative with an ending that made no fucking sense.
Joker Folie à Deux is neither a satisfactory approach to the comics (and Yes I know the first one is not connected to Batman universe but here they went for it, so go figure), nor a drama, nor a thriller, so I'm wondering who are their target audience? and what sort of reaction were they trying to evoke??!!
I just finished watching the documentary Rock Hudson All that Heaven Allowed which was released in 2023.
it basically talks about his double life being a Hollywood star and a closet gay man which back then was an ending career mistake if it goes public. so you see a lot about his given persona and how he worked on that to live his life the way he wants.
I found out more about his life, especially his close friendship with Elisabeth Taylor, his staged marriage and his fight with James Dean. I also got a tiny bit of Hollywood's dark side here and there like how agents took advantage of new gay actors who were looking for chance to become stars. also his sickness with AIDS and cancer and how he dealt with it away from the world until it wasn't possible anymore. His death and the circumstances leading up to it are treated rather straightforwardly and honestly his final days was a tragedy.
I have couple of complaints and one of them is that it didn't dove deeper into Hudson's ideological contradictions or his political stand despite how his life was in the middle of many major changes in particular the 60s and 70's. For example, it's mentioned that he is a Republican, but there is nothing about how he joined the celebrity pile-on against Marlon Brando, who refused his 1973 Oscar for The Godfather as a protest against Hollywood’s treatment of Native American people.
Another thing which I find strange is that no one has a bad word to say about him or at least his rebellious tendencies, and what bothers me the most and that maybe just me is that Stephen Kijak's documentary reduced Hudson’s career to the dimension of his sexuality and salacious gossip. Yes, his sex life was wild, Yes, it happened but to call him a horndog and base his whole life and career just on that is really a disservice. Imo, Kijak should have worked more on the biographical basics to give a balanced and an objective insight on Hudson's life both private and public to let audience draw their own conclusion.
after finally watching The Bear, I can say with confidence it's awful, overhyped and annoying in a bad away. How the hell this show is considered good and highly rated, I really don't get it and moreover it won awards too, wtf!!!
there is too much yelling, too much flashbacks, the story is dragging, chaotic plot, the characters are unlikable and there is no development whatsoever. and what with the overreliance on frenetically edited close ups!! you can't simply depend on that to evoke profound emotions or show their intensity in every damn situation.
In short, it's unBEARable
I remember how this song got my full attention while I was watching the end of Pine barrens episode from the sopranos, I just couldn't help myself, I kept repeating that part of the episode over and over again just to immerse myself entirely. it touched my heart and soul deeply and took its rightful place at the top of my favorite sopranos ost list effortlessly. btw, the whole album is a masterpiece.
Lyrics
I am a scorned wife, faithful, yet insulted. Heavens, what did I do? And yet he is my heart, my husband, my love, my hope.
I love him, but he is unfaithful, I hope, but he is cruel, will he let me die? O God, courage is missing - courage and constancy.
Megalopolis ..Megalopolis..
man, where should I start ..
first of all, I have mixed feelings about this movie, it felt bizarre, fragmented, and incoherent, but also beautiful, ambitious, and hopeful:
loaded cast with fine performance but nothing impressive tbh and I think there is a political choice Coppola made to bring all those actors from opposite sides to join in his vision.
Structureless narrative and the story is everywhere. it's not appealing as it should be to be more engaging. part of me think maybe this movie in particular can't be applied to traditional storytelling standards.
stunning visuals
phenomenal ost
extremely artistic
I felt confused and kinda bored yet engaged if that makes sense
it seems Coppola was going for an old Hollywood style at first then played into futuristic roman epic.
It's part fable so there is a moral somewhere but it was lost in the middle of all of the mess that was happening. many things to think of but not focused or coherent enough to make the message clear or maybe that was Coppola intention for it to be messy; the falling of an empire along with the paradox of meaning and madness of humanity looking for a better and hopeful future.
in total, it's an overstuffed saga that has its own shortcomings with some lost potentials yet I felt how bold, philosophical, imaginative and ambitious it is.
Am I a racist? movie by Matt Walsh is really worth watching. what this comedy documentary is about you may ask, well it's about diving into (DEI) movement.
All Matt Walsh does in the movie is let people talk about their ideologies while in their own bubble and you are the judge; you might agree with some and you might disagree with others, it's up to you to form your own conclusion without the movie trying to push its belief and ideas down your throat. To put it simply it's about people exposing themselves without a filter and without a shield. and imo it has an important message that is worth telling.
btw, this movie is in the top five grossing movies this weekend and from what I've seen so far most major movie critiques even media coverage are not talking about it as it should be. they are ignoring or should I say refusing to review it, which shows their hypocrisy tbh.
anyway it's highly recommended if you want a clever provocative comedy that asks uncomfortable questions about a sensitive topic and turn it into a hilarious experience while keeping you thinking of what is said. the real question here is are you willing to step outside of your comfort zone?
I just want to know why Jimin was yelling and cursing in the bathroom/shower !? what the fuck happened??? lol
