What If…. Alana had gotten with Castiel?

If you’ve been reading The Melancholy of Melody Alana Roster, you’d know by now that Castiel fell in love with her in High School and didn’t quite admit it to himself until she had already gotten with Nathaniel… Much to her sister, Sam’s, annoyance. Despite her relationship with his sworn enemy, Castiel wrote the Crowstorm song “Out Of Reach” about his unrequited love… Even going so far as to kiss her the first chance he got when seeing her again After a while, she forced him to either just be happy as her friend, or lose her forever, so he ultimately chose to move on and just be her friend…

But, what if he admitted it to himself a lot sooner? What if she and Nathaniel had either not gotten together at all, or remained broken up? What if she had stayed a simple college student and not gone into the R.D.R? What if she simply moved in with her aunt Agatha so that she could finish her final year at Anteros? What if she had come to terms with her own feelings for Castiel and couldn’t lie to herself any longer?

These are questions that I may, one day, explore… Not with a full story… But maybe a chapter that could cover various points in the relationship…

Uuhhh I think I’m starting to see a pattern with my taste in men

I think I am done waiting for Lance to get back to his real personality, I was still hoping but now we are halfway through the game and I just know it won't happen. I still love him becauase he essentially is now Valkyon 2.0 and I loved Valkyon, but my Ashkore isn't there anymore.

And I suspected as much before, knowing that Chino hasn't worked on ANE at all other than giving the main plot, doing the events and now trying to fix the illustrations, but the final blow has been seeing the MCL AL credits, seeing that the writer is the same as ANE and how he was able to preserve Lys' personality so well, while making a complete mess of Eldarya's characters. It's clear that having the original creator work on the game makes all the difference. I am so mad and disappointed, I waited years to have Lance and what I got isn't even him.

And it's not just Lance btw, Nevra completely lost his spark (we only saw a bit in the latest episode, too little too late), and Leiftan I think is the one who got the worst treatment, because I have no idea who that guy is, but for sure he isn't Leiftan.

I won't drop the game for the simple reason that I am a fool and hope for something more afterward. It's even more difficult than with the old MCL crushes because Eldarya doesn't have nearly the same amount of players, but if we want to see something with real Lance, real Leiftan and Nevra, and Ez and Val brought back the only chance is to play and invest in ANE and Lys, so I'll keep doing it. Meanwhile I am going to live this as if these final 10 episodes are all we will ever get of this game and see what happens.
