Blake Mills is worth checking out. A founding and former member of Dawes and hired guitarist for Cass Mccombs, Jakob Dylan, Rick Rubin, Dangermouse, and Andrew Bird among others. He is featured on the Amnesty International Bob Dylan tribute with a great cover of "Heart of Mine" and his debut solo album Breaking Mirrors sounds pretty good too. Check him out below:

Jack White's extremely anticipated and long awaited solo album has been announced and is featured on the front page of every major music site. The title is "Blunderbuss" and White had this to say about it "an album I couldn't have released until now. I've put off making records under my own name for a long time but these songs feel like they could only be presented under my name. These songs were written from scratch, had nothing to do with anyone or anything else but my own expression, my own colors on my own canvas."
