yami and yugi making a deck together
i swear yugioh is curing my artblock (and my aversion to drawing backgrounds apparently 🙌)
Why are all the Yugioh MC's so... idk, freaky? Xeno/teratophiliacs? Yugi Muto, amulet kisser Yuki Judai, androgynous demon kisser Fudo Yusei, BIKE KISSER./j (This one might be the only on with a main F/M human ship, or maybe Jack Atlas?? He also gets shipped to Muto/Atem and Judai (Who's previously mentioned ships are indeed package deals, so if you poly it... demon kisser and cursed amulet kisser????) Tsukumo Yuma, dimensional star alien kisser Sakaki Yuya, other-part-of-my-canonically-divided soul kisser Fujiki Yusaku, amorphous Artificial Intelligence kisser Ohdo Yuga, childhood friend kisser?? (Idk, I couldn't find anything about the shipping in Ygo Seven's.) Velgear Yudias, he's an asexual sea bunny alien, ig?? ------ FYI, I have only seen the animes for DM, Arc V and VRAINS, none of the manga's. The rest of these ships are based on the most popular ship that I could find on Tumblr for the respective character.
Seven's and Go Rush are practically non-existent fandom wise, so I sincerely apologise if you are an enjoyer. I just went off what I COULD find. {[{ALSO WHY DO ALL OF THEM HAVE "YU" IN THEIR NAME, THIS ISN'T JOJO'S BIZARRE ADVENTURE WHAT THE FUCK?!?}]}
it's good taste babieeeeee
i love how all of the sequel/spin off series take the puzzleshipping template of metaphysical intimacy and SPRINT with it. i don't know much about the spin offs but i do know It Gets Gayer. and that's all i need to know to feel blessed
yugioh writers looking at any yugioh protagonist: what if we put another guy in there
it’s always some soul shit

I think I’m very funny. yuri has never been exposed to the concept of pregnancy
Trying to recommend people watch Yu-gi-oh is always an insane pitching experience because the basic premise, what the show's about, and the actual meat-and-potatoes plot mechanics are all extremely different from one another.
The premise for DM is that some kid has an amnesiac ancient egyptian ghost haunting him and various billionaires are going to try to divest him of his jewellery. What DM is about is platonic devotion, staying true to your friends, the all encompassing power of love, and the eventual burden of moving on from death. This entire thing is painted in the aesthetics of 90's punk and visual kei.
The premise for GX is a kid attends card game high school and goes on wacky adventures. What GX is about is growing up, about seeing the world get more and more dark as you get older until you don't think you are the same person anymore, and having to hold onto the things that make you you. The later seasons draw heavy inspiration from lovecraftian cosmic horror.
The premise for 5Ds is a street punk has to team up with new friends and old enemies to fight on behalf of ancient south american space gods. What 5Ds is about is classism, and tools of oppression in a hi-tech futuristic society that is literally powered by magic. The visual language ping pongs between classic cyberpunk grunge and ultra sleek hypermodern.
The premise for Zexal is a different kid with a different amnesiac ghost that lives inside his necklace team up to find his memories. What Zexal is about is human connection, about reaching out a hand into the dark, about not being alone, and the pointlessness of war. This entire thing is themed with elements of the christian bible.
The premise for Arc-V is a theatre kid who travels the worlds spreading cheer and smiles with his circus performances. What Arc-V is about is child soldiers, and indoctrination into the military industrial complex, and the emotional dissonance that forms between events of trauma and day-to-day survival. One of the characters is inexplicably a traditional japanese shinobi.
The premise for VRAINS is a depressed highschooler cybercrime-ing his way through the internet so he can find answers to why he was kidnapped and tortured when he was 8. What VRAINS is about is the future of corporate greed, about healing, about what makes a consciousness, and the poisoning power of hate. A solid 50% of the story is just really good goofs on modern internet culture.
But if you just throw on a random episode of any one of those, the actual construction of any given one are going to be pretty much the same: It's all Card Games babeeeey
yugioh arc v being: how often can we trigger Kurosaki’s ptsd by bringing up everything that happened in the XYZ dimension ?

For my fellow cuddlebingu connoisseurs. (Yuma is so happy to be with his alien that he sometimes forgets other people can't see him.)

paint practice in grey scale
i realized i wanted to use red as a light source but i somehow managed to lean heavily into blue when painting the subject
The Middle East is not a continent. It is a transcontinental region that was coined by the British. It’s not a race or ethnicity. Not all Middle Easterns are Arabs or Muslims and different Middle Eastern Arabs aren’t interchangeable and have their own cultures and dialects. Cultures in the Middle Eastern are diverse. We are not homogenous. There is no one Middle Eastern culture. Okay? Okay.
Can’t believe I have to say it but “Arab/Islamic World” is not a good replacement term for Middle East, it’s actually worse and even more orientalist, don’t recommend that or use it. All have colonial roots.
Just be specific. If you’re talking about a specific group, then there is really no need to say Middle East . There are quite a few replacement terms for Middle East, all of which have their own issues and problems but just try to be specific. If you’re talking about certain countries, say the countries, if you’re talking about a specific group, then say the group. Same goes for language, region, continent etc.
re logging this on all my accs because i need this to be permanently inserted into your brains
