made some artist trading cards :)
ophelia’s character has always fascinated me!
another collage about identity + performances
digital artwork exploring my feelings about my cultural and ethnic background
02.14.22
from the archives: i think this is one of my first collages! lyrics from “nobody” by mitski
early experiments w/ collage using lyrics from one of my favorite bands, fall out boy! (songs are “disloyal order of water buffaloes” and “xo” respectively)
collected guest checks to create a collage about being misgendered at a customer service job
used magazine cut-outs, acrylic paint markers, and wallpaper to explore the idea of a bedroom becoming a stage when one’s identity is a performance
rendered a self-portrait w/ colored pencils on black paper + created a puzzle piece collage to explore the idea of a fractured identity
explored grief of a family member through a depiction of a funeral scene w/ a limited color palette and surreal religious elements. inspired by “where’d all the time go?” by dr. dog
experimented w/ perspective, desaturated colors, and line weight to explore the restrictive + obsessive nature of disordered eating
