Remus sanders headcannon that when he was a kid, the only way Janus and Virgil could get him to do things he didn't want to do was by putting the word 'evil' in front of it. Like 'evil' bath, or 'evil' eating actual food that isn't dirt. And it got to the point that that was just what things were called in the darkside now.

At some point in season one Virgil tells Logan, Patton, and Roman he's going to be late for 'evil' dinner and then doesn't harass Thomas for three straight weeks out of embarrassment alone.

SO ABOUT REMUS NOT BEING SILENCED

it makes so much sense that intrusive thoughts can bypass being silenced by janus HOWEVER i don't think that it wouldn't ever work on him or else why would janus even be trying it? in my heart remus is able to bypass being silenced based on the cartoon logic of if it would be funnier to be silenced or not thank you for coming to my ted talk

My favorite headcanon/interpretation of Remus is that people only think he's an idiot because he has no shame/self preservation, but he's actually super competent and intelligent when no one's looking and no one believes it when it comes up.

Like Logan will tell him to do his chores and he'd answer with "only if you beat me at chess, but if I win you have to do them" and Logan agrees because there's no way he'd lose against Remus, right? Then about 45 minutes later Logan is doing the chores for him and still reeling from the whiplash because how the hell is Remus so good at chess?

Everyone is too busy focusing on the fact that he lit the kitchen counter on fire to notice that he only managed to do so because he was messing around with a chemistry set he owns and made a new flammable concoction that doesn't really exist yet.

Idk, I just love the idea of Remus' cleverness being expertly masked by his chaos.
