“What happens when you die? What do we do then?”
“You look like shit.”
“You have to run. They’re looking for you.”
“Don’t worry about me.”
“What did they do to you?”
“I’ve got you.”
“Walk it off, sport.”
“Don’t be stupid. Let me help.”
“Trust me, I’ve been there.”
“Why didn’t you tell anyone it was this bad?”
“I didn’t want you to find out this way.”
“You wouldn’t understand.”
“You’re a terrible liar.”
“I am your friend. You’ve got me.”
“Are you lonely?”
“Get the fuck out of here!”
“I guess this is goodbye.”
“I’ve been through worse.”
“Can you stop thinking about yourself for once?”
“Of course I’m pissed!”
“Who did this?!”
“Why did you do this?”
“I don’t expect you to forgive me.”
“Save it. You can hate me later.”
“You don’t need permission to cry. It’s okay.”
“Life isn’t fair.”
“You want to be a hero? Is that it?”
“I wasn’t meant to survive this.”
“You won’t survive.”
“Feel better?”
“We can’t go back to who we were before.”
“you lose someone?”
Эх…
Things happened, but no matter that, the sky is bright. And today comes again.
Titles. He’d grown to hate that word, and the meaning behind it. People fawned over titles, but didn’t care about the person behind it. He was respected, revered even, as Glen, but nobody knew who Oswald had been. Time went on, and recognition of his old name faded. He didn’t know if he wanted to be Glen anymore. He didn’t know if he wanted to be anything anymore. The chains were eating at him, and he knew it.
He would never admit how his body ached. He would never admit how Oswald hated this life, hated this role. He would never admit how much he detested himself, his actions. He would never admit any of it. After all, he was Glen.
And Glen was just a fancy title.

❛ what a modern fucking tragedy you turned out to be. ❜ ❛ what do you think the stars wish for then? ❜ ❛ maybe i could have loved you in any life but ours. ❜ ❛ i used to ache for a hurricane, an earthquake. ❜ ❛ i found a catalyst for disaster in you. ❜ ❛ is this what happens when the poem ends? ❜ ❛ i found religion in betrayal. ❜ ❛ things like us only exist in dreams. ❜ ❛ you can’t give your storms to someone else. ❜ ❛ nothing lasts forever, not even the rain. ❜ ❛ it’s okay to fear. ❜ ❛ don’t claw out your own throat while waiting for someone else to scream. ❜ ❛ you are memories and moments. ❜ ❛ in some other universe you’re asleep. ❜ ❛ everyone leaves. let them. ❜ ❛ you are not a ghost. ❜ ❛ you can’t haunt those that forget you. ❜ ❛ everything ends and it’s okay. ❜ ❛ my heart kept beating, out of sync with yours. ❜ ❛ maybe i get to have a reason for the ache you left in my chest. ❜ ❛ you exist still. ❜ ❛ we can’t remember how to be alive. ❜ ❛ the heavens burn for you and i. ❜ ❛ every star is another story, every night a different sky. ❜ ❛ we end to begin again. ❜ ❛ beyond every somewhere, we exist. ❜ ❛ the gods lie as often as men. ❜ ❛ i sit not upon a throne of bone. ❜ ❛ my kingdom wasn’t chosen. ❜ ❛ the dead of mine do not speak. ❜ ❛ history will write that you were the bravest of them all. ❜ ❛ all stars must burn. ❜ ❛ the greatest things must end. ❜ ❛ hell is just another place i guess i’ll go to keep you warm. ❜ ❛ if the monster always dies at the end of the book, why am i still alive? ❜ ❛ gods don’t care about what might have been. ❜ ❛ men shall fall and gods be forgotten. ❜ ❛ you will be remembered eternally. ❜

i’d just like to state that i’m much more likely to reply faster to threads with people that i speak with ooc. this isn’t because i don’t want to write with you, or because i don’t like our threads as much. it’s just that talking to people on a regular basis gives me a lot of inspiration, especially if we’ve been discussing our characters’ relationship, or other potential plotlines. so if you’re wondering where your thread is, i can promise i’m not ignoring you. i just want you to understand how my creative process works most of the time.

Unimanigable quick were her actions, grab and sink her teeth in. through a mouthful of meat, she hums her approval, a quite “ Thank you !” present in there somewhere too. The taste sticks on her tongue — Hot and delicious; MEAT REALLY IS THE BEST AND TASTIEST THING IN THE WORLD TO HAVE!! Feral in all her passion for the delicacy, Bright violet hues open, content & radiating in satisfaction. While she happily chows, his words run over in her head again and again. ❛ Alright then, Oz and I will be team rabbit !! ❜ Loudly she proclaims ( THAT BOYISH WAY OF SPEAKING NEVER DID LEAVE HER) and rests the sandwich back onto the plate before running over to the shelf where Oz has been placed. Hands stretched, ready to grab him —— She halts and glances down towards her hand; they’re dirty. Frantically head turns and she finds the nearest thing to wipe her hands on before grabbing Oz and returning to her seat. ❛ You and Raven can be the birds — Since the premise is so bleak, why don’t we make it so that Raven or any other bird chain you have, is trying to get to a cave full of THE MOST DELICIOUS MEAT IMAGINABLE!! Me n’ Oz will be the guardians of that cave — Since it belongs to me! And when I really win — I get a real cave filled with meat !! ❜ Loud and clear her voice rings through; notice she says when not if. The desire to be cruel is there dormant within her, but she won’t awaken the dragon; he’s not someone she wishes to torment — admiration restricts her. ❛ And what do you want IF you win? ❜
“I don’t think Raven would enjoy this.” Oswald answered honestly, watching her rush to the plush bunny. He had to admire her childlike innocence. A stuffed rabbit didn’t make a game partner. “I am actually pretty good at games. I can win without any of them.” He really just didn’t want to summon any of them. It was always taxing to bring them out, and usually they were in a bad mood, unless it was to fight something.
He leaned back in his chair, touching the bandage at his wrist, considering her final question. He wasn’t going to comment on her assumption that she would win. Jack had made this game, so it wouldn’t be easy per say. After a while he sat up, holding up his hand, pointing at the ceiling.
“If I win, I want you to take a walk through the gardens with me tomorrow.” Oswald didn’t really know why that’s what came to mind, but he decided it would do. After all, she so rarely left the tower, and he so rarely enjoyed the gardens. Nobody would speak up about it as long as Glen never left her side. In fact, he would make sure nobody saw them in the first place. Yes. A walk would be a wonderful prize.
❛ Oswald! — Are you out here!? ❜ The calling of the man has yet to cease for close to an hour after his arrival, an hour since the time where Oswald wasn’t around to greet him as normal. This, had not only set alarms off inside of Jack’s mind, but also great …. worry? At first, he had not minded it, as he lead himself to Lacie’s tower, but it was only conversing with her for but a few moments. Where he had questioned Oswald’s whereabouts, to find even Lacie herself knew not of it. — He had surprisingly excused himself, and found wondering around the manor gardens, then towards the stables, before he lead himself further into the brush of trees. Calling out the other man’s name, with a sense of worry in his voice.
By this time, as the sun was beginning to set, Jack found himself at a lost as he kept walking. His feet cried of exhaustion, and yet he kept walking in hopes of find where the man had left. Surely if Oswald had fallen asleep, he would have woken by now and be back? — but each time Jack brought himself back to the manor to question of Oswald’s return, he received the same response every time.
He lead himself alongside of the brush, his eyes looking through, trying to see should someone find resting inside. He turned up with nothing, but as he continued along. Eyes caught the sight of the red light from the sky reflecting off black clothing. He narrowed eyes in order to see better, and trailed forward. Only for a gasp to escape his lips, and green eyes to widen in horror as his feet already took him off. The sight of blood was enough to make his stomach churn. ❛ OSWALD! ❜
The voice had registered in his mind for a while now, but Oswald was stubbornly ignoring it. He figured it was a hallucination brought about by pain. After all, Jack shouldn’t be at the Baskerville manor that early in the day... Although, it really wasn’t early. He’d spent way too long in town (or limping back, maybe? He didn’t care) and Jack’s usual visiting time had come and gone. It shouldn’t be that strange to see the other young man around.
Oswald stopped to catch his breath, leaning against a tree, trying to ignore the pain from his ankle- that he kept walking with, because how else is he supposed to walk? Everything hurt, but the throbbing from his ankle threatened the edges of his vision with a black wall.
He lost track of just how long he was “resting” against that tree, his eyes screwed shut- one swollen to the point where he couldn’t open it even if he wanted. He heard the panicked cry and sat up straight, blinking as Jack burst through a bush, eyes wide.
“Jack.” He realized then that his throat was dry as bone, as the word scratched out of his lips. Oswald’s brain was sluggish, and couldn’t wrap his mind around the idea of Jack being worried about him. “What are you doing here?” The words grated against Oswald’s ears even, and he grimaced, pushing himself up onto his good foot, leaning on the tree for support. The blood streaking over his face had long since dried, crusted onto his skin.

Sneaking out was always a lot easier than sneaking in. Especially when one could barely walk. Oswald crouched in a tree, watching the gardeners milling about. If any of them saw him, they’d report him. That would be a problem.
Although, he doubted how long he could really hide his days adventure. Lacie was bound to notice a few things, namely the broken ankle, shattered arm, and eye swollen shut. The broken ribs weren’t overly obvious, but it did make it harder for him to move, and Lacie would definitely notice that.
There was no more putting it off, Oswald slithered down the tree, trying to keep the weight off his ankle, his broken arm throbbing. His vision swam and he leaned on the tree trunk, catching his breath. Hopefully he could make it to his chamber without getting caught. Nobody had noticed his absence yet, apparently, or they would have come after him.
After he caught his breath, Oswald limped towards the manor, taking care to stay out of sight of the windows, and the gardeners. Seeing a figure covered in blood in the shadows would set off just a couple of alarms, and he’d been hurt enough today, he didn’t need a sword through his gut to complete it.
