"Right, because that's supposed to make me feel so much better." Bree sighed, cradling her head in her hands in frustration and an attempt to hide the slight flush to her cheeks at Darcy's assurance. "Do I at least get a say in when we have the date, or is that all your decision too? Because frankly I'd much prefer that it doesn't happen tonight. Y'know?"

Darcy laughed at that. “Well then, Bree, now we know each other. But don’t worry, I prefer to move at a much slower pace whenever possible. I only skip bases when pulling a Coyote Ugly, so I think you’re safe.”

Bree rolled her eyes. "Thanks, that makes me feel so much better," she muttered sarcastically, avoiding thinking too much about Darcy's flirting so that she wouldn't blush and ruin the image she had created. "I take it there's no way I'm getting out of this dating thing?"

"Don’t judge, dude. Some people are intimidated by girls with brains. Besides, I work for Tony Stark, I get science on a daily basis. I’m Darcy, by the way, Darcy Lewis.”
