This is the creepy one, ladies and gents. Gently is a track originating from the demo album slipknot released in 1996 (at that time with a vastly different line up) called MATE.FEED.KILL.REPEAT. The song was, however, rereleased on the infamous IOWA album, with more clean instrumental sounds, and of course, clean vocals only Corey Taylor could perform.

Having a very calm, yet creepy intro, it definitely feels like the slow one, but once about halfway into the track, you will realize that, this is one of the loud ones. Indeed a lot of athmosphere is to be found around “gently”.
