While I don't talk about it nearly as much as other things and am in no way involved in a fandom around it I ADORE Broadchurch. Its first series may be one of the best tv series ever (in my opinion). It's so beautiful and amazing and just. OUGH. So if you want to talk to me about it please do.

i’ve started wondering how billie piper must feel about all this. i imagine she wasn’t super invested to begin with, it was probably pitched to her as just a fun way to get involved with the series again. maybe for just a special, maybe for a whole slew of episodes, who knows. but she’s probably known for some time now that she was just used for shock value to end season 2, and that there has been zero progress in actually giving billie something to do. like isn’t that so fucked up? you’re invited back into this show that you love, but it’s entirely superficial and there’s a chance nothing will come of it for years if at all. this move is not just disrespectful to the fans, but to basically everyone involved with making the show.

Turns out the man had made some unfriendly remarks about her paramour. Ended up challenging me to a duel right then and there, and I'm no slouch when it comes to sword fighting, but La Maupin really gave me a run for my money. We'll have to go visit good old Julie one of these days!
