im so salty rn mmm love me that Sodium™
im rly bitter abt ppl who say they have bpd but the only symptom they seem to have is wanting attention... like ok idk what's going on in ur life but time and time again i see people claiming to have bpd and the only time it comes up if if they want ppl to accommodate them in some way... like bpd isn't just getting sad bc ur post got one note it's crushing suicidal depression and loss if any self worth you might have dredged up in the past week lmao plz don't do this
i don’t have the healthiest coping methods but i haven’t killed myself yet so where’s my fucking medal
Me: That was impulsive. You probably shouldn't have done that.
Also me: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
it’s a win-win situation
them shits could all say $50 id still let it rip
me refreshing the activity page every 2 seconds: i live for attention and validation
My mental illness: and thats reason number 56 that you should die
Me: good job that was very well thought out
Me: but can i go to sleep now
having a violence kink is the best thing because it’s like. someone wants to punch me in the face?? beat the shit out of me???? haha joke’s on them now their hand hurts and i have a boner
for real though i like to read up on things im for or against bc i obviously wanna know the facts and while ive always been pro self-dx i thought i would look into the other side of the argument bc i wanted to see what their points were
im pretty good at keeping an open mind so like i read around the subject extensively for a week or so but i literally. found nothing? like there were no points i agreed with and even all the solutions made no sense like they just think mental health care is free? or that there are free clinics everywhere? and like im not even in the states but i can tell u that even where i am u pay for what u get... free clinics have waiting lists that are months and months long and i never met a psych that wasn't a piece of shit in one of those places so like. yeah. also these ppl seem to think it's all ~edgy teenz~ doing it and like no?? a lot of them are neurotypical too + quite clearly don't know what it's like to know something is very, undeniable wrong in their head so like idk where they're coming from there. finally they don't seem to remember the fact that some people have serious symptoms that could get them hospitalised at great expense against their will if they get a shitty psych? like do people not realise it's literally dangerous for some of us to seek "help"??
tl;dr looked up anti self-dx discourse and no matter how much i read it was all total bull
The people against self diagnosis literally have no understanding of how the psychiatric field works. They think it’s a flawless system where everything is affordable, judgement free, and safe. Wake up call, it’s not.
Psychiatry, as an institution, is an abusive system designed to categorize and control people who are considered mentally deviant. The fact that some disabled people are doing their own research and self-applying diagnostic labels in order to communicate the nature of their disability is a reclaimatory and revolutionary action. It is a way for us to take back control over our disabilities and our lives and it should never be diminished.
me: i have violent impulses
some neurotypical: oh me too sweaty:) it okay just count to ten baby child:)
what i mean: wants to throw glass at people with annoying voices, is about to physically attack others for not agreeing with me, takes pleasure in imagining hurting people, thinks about blood and gore to calm myself
what they mean: once i was very drunk and slapped someone over a cheeto
Me: *watching a movie with a very bad villain*
My bpd: ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Me: ...no...please...
My bpd: *banging pots together over my head during the movie* GUESS WHO YOU RELATE TO GUESS WHO U ARE NOW THATS YOU NOW HHAHAHAHA
someone: but… don’t intrusive thoughts make u DANGEROUS??
my brain: stick the leggy real far out stick the leggy real far out stick the leggy real far out
me: haha what
not to ruin the joke or anything but seriously even if you have intense violent intrusive thoughts that still doesn’t make you dangerous
if your intrusive thoughts aren’t funny/weird things like “stick the leggy real far out” that doesn’t mean that you’re any more dangerous than the people who have intrusive thoughts that make better relatable tumblr posts
no intrusive thoughts make you dangerous
(not singling u out or anything ur just the first person saying this in my activity and im on mobile so scrolling down to the originals is impossible)
ive seen a couple of ppl saying stuff like this and i just want to make it very clear i know this. i made this post as a personal joke + didn't expect it to get even a couple of notes so like. this is a surprise but basically i made it as a personal joke bc my intrusive thoughts are usually highly violent/disturbing and then the leggy thing wouldn't go away for literally two days and i thought it was funny bc people used to tell me that i was dangerous for them and while i know that no intrusive thoughts make me dangerous i was just amused thinking about what they would say if they knew "stick the leggy real far out" had been stuck in my head for 2 days
on a related note (that isn't directed at the reblog) i've also seen ppl on this post saying that "no one says that" about the whole "intrusive thoughts make u dangerous" thing so i'd just like to say here that yes they do and this was a personal post about my experiences with many ppl in my life telling me i was dangerous and using that excuse to justify doing really shitty things to me. i don't mind posts like the above (where someone is simply clarifying/validating others/reassuring ppl) but do not come onto my posts and tell me my legit life experience didn't happen. people have told me that. it does happen. this wasn't a funny post for notes -- this was a joke based on my own life experiences done as a coping mechanism. get out of here with ur "this never happens" bullshit.
“How do you feel?” Too Much and inconsistently
Fuck anyone who says I have to forgive everyone, “for my sake.” I worked hard for this anger. I worked hard to love myself enough to hate them.
me: today seems like a good day!! time to get all the shit i've been putting off done my brain: hello, me: please.... not now.... my brain: it's me,
