Lucien couldn’t help but chuckle as he said he was feeling adventurous, “Well, how about you get whiskey and do some shots with me? Best of both worlds.” he suggested with a wink. “I’m Lucien, by the way.”
Atticus smirked as the man spoke, “That sounds like a good time to me.” he was surprised as the other winked at him but he definitely didn’t mind and he chuckled softly, “Atticus. It’s a pleasure to meet you, Lucien.”

Spencer found her pace matching his, keeping beside him. There was that comfort between them. She tried hard to push it away. She glanced up at him. “It is going well. I have about ten clients right now. All models.” It kept her busy for the most part. She was thinking about hiring another person to work with her. Reason she was going to open an actual business location. She wanted to ask about what happened in New Zealand and why he was back. “Which Orchestra are you with now?”
Atticus kept fairly close, having their shoulders bump occasionally as they walked. He looked over at her as she spoke and a smile appeared across his lips, “That’s really awesome Spencer. I’m sure you must be really happy with it.” he chuckled softly as she asked which orchestra he was in. “What makes you think I’m in another one?” he teased, continuing after he grinned at her and his eyes scanned over her features. “I’m in the New Orleans Symphony and also writing pieces for New Zealand still.” He grinned, opening up the door for her.

Lucien was in the need of some fun tonight. He had been working on a new script all day and only managed to get a scene done. He was having a serious case of writers block and hoped going out would be the spark he needed to overcome it the next day. He decided to go out to one of the bars and he was surprised at the amount of people there for a Thursday night. He made his way through the crowd to the bar, taking a seat and calling the bartender over. He ordered a few shots downing one before looking over to the person sat beside him, a small grin spread across his face “Hey, you look like you could use a drink.”
Atticus needed a drink, after running into his ex and trying to figure everything out in this new town. He just simply needed alcohol. He went to the first bar he could find and weaved through people to get to the bar. He noticed an empty seat and took it beside a couple people. He was surprised when the man to his left began speaking to him. A soft smile crept across his face and his eyes looked him over quickly, “I was just about to get one.” he chuckled, “Got any suggestions? I’m usually a whiskey guy, but I’m feeling a little adventurous tonight.”

Tiffany was exhausted and it seemed one year old Sara was not going to calm down for her. The started to jump up and down, hands at the sides of her face making funny faces at her daughter, along with odd noises. A smile cracked on the toddlers face and she went to jump in a circle. Mid way through the jump she noticed that someone was standing behind her. She froze in action and she could feel her cheeks flush. “She wouldn’t stop crying.” She blurted out, stepping out of the way to show her daughter. The toddler had let out a delighted squeal.
Atticus had decided to take a walk around to get to know the area better. He couldn’t help but notice a girl jumping up and down and making faces at what he assumed to be her child. He just gave a wide smile and chuckled, “Well it looks like you managed to make her stop.” he looked down at the toddle and chuckled, “I didn’t mean to stare. It’s just not everyday you see people having so much fun.”

The brunette had a hard time looking Atticus in the eyes. She was telling herself one step at a time. She could easily fall back into their old ways. Not that their relationship was ever strained. They had their brief moments, but it all worked out – it seemed to only make them stronger. There was this strong urge to reach out to him. Feel his lips against hers. Their bodies moving as one. Simply have him hold her. He always had a way of making everything right. She glanced over her shoulder. She knew which coffee shop he was talking about. “Coffee sounds good.” Her whole being craved him, and she was going to deny herself that temptation; for now at least. She didn’t want to fall back in their ways to have either of them leave again.
Atticus couldn’t help but smile wider as she agreed to grab some coffee with him. He had missed her company and was glad they’d be spending a little time together. He began walking with her, keeping close with each step. “So, how’s the business and everything? I mean..It must be good if you’re looking to expand.” he looked over at her, his eyes meeting hers and it only reminded him how much he had missed this.

Spencer didn’t think there was any awkwardness between them. There was a lingering tension that seemed to pull her in either direction. She had missed Atticus and at the same time, she was scared what could happen between them. She vowed that she wouldn’t let anyone in again. It was easier to deal with a sex only concept. It worked for her in the past. “If I need help, I will let you know.” She glanced down at her feet. She was never like this. She was outspoken and took action. Why did he always do this to her? “I think I am handling it alright.” She admitted. Soft sepia hues glanced up into his eyes. Those words sent a ripple down her spine. “I missed you too.” The words slipping from her lips.
Atticus had a funny way of dealing with things, he always assumed the worse when things were important to him. He pressed his lips together for a moment, his eyes watching her movements closely as he tried to get a feel for what she was thinking. He gave her a soft smile as she mentioned she’d let him know if she needed help. “Awesome..It’d be fun.” he gave a light nod and a soft chuckle, “Yeah, I’d say you are.” he rubbed the back of his neck lightly. He was happy to hear that she’d missed him as well. He looked down the street past her, seeing a coffee shop in the distance. He gave a light nod in the direction before looking back at her, “Can I get you a cup of coffee? Maybe we could catch up a little.”

Dropping the voice soon she set her pen and pad down, only to take a seat across from Atticus. “Of course it’s me. How could you forget this face?” She joked to him as she looked back to Atticus. Toni wanted to know what he was doing here and the questions raised to her, was he here for Spencer? Did she know? Why was he here? All of which she just glared at him for. “You better explain why you are here Atticus. Not that I don’t want to see your face, but you know why I’m asking” She said pointing her pan at him.
Atticus chuckled and gave a light shake of his head, “I could never forget you, Toni.” his smile brightened as she sat across from him, he wasn’t sure if she had spoken to Spencer or not. From the sound of it she didn’t. “Well, I came for some food.” he teased, knowing exactly what she really meant and getting serious shortly after. He ran his fingers through his hair before he continued, “New Zealand wasn’t working out..something was keeping me from putting my all into it and I spoke with Spencer’s dad a few weeks ago about some stuff which only confirmed that I couldn’t leave things as I did.” he admitted.

Toni had swigged back a gulp of water as she was finishing her break. Getting into the lunch rush of the diner today. She put her apron on and was tying it mid way when she looked over to see another waitress smile and instruct her to take table’s 10 through 15. Which she was fine with her. At least she was in the cool air conditioned restaurant rather than outside. People were flooding in for a water or whatever to cool them down. After handling most of her tables and clearing out one more, she saw someone take a seat. Toni glanced up and for that small glance, she thought she saw a ghost. Well not a ghost but someone she wasn’t expecting to see. Tucking the towel in her back pocket of her shorts, she went over to see it actually was Atticus. But for now she played it off like some naive waitress wanting to take his order. Even throwing in an obnoxious voice too. It wasn’t that she hated Atticus. In fact she befriended Atticus fast and liked him but she was also friends with Spencer too.
Maybe it was her being biased and on Spencer’s side after the split but Toni was still going to give Atticus shit until he realized it was her. “What can I get for you sir?” In that obnoxious voice she held up right with her pen in hand. @atticus-wolfe
Atticus had only been in Hallow Grove for a few days now. He was still trying to figure everything out, places to get good food and what not. He decided to try a diner. He had recently bumped into Spencer and was still unsure of what to do with that situation in itself. All he could think about was getting a burger and drink before figuring anything else out. He walked into the diner and took a seat. It wasn’t long before a waitress came over to him, he glanced up from the menu, a smile creeping across his face as he saw an extremely familiar face. He wasn’t expecting to see her here too. “Toni?” he questioned, looking up at the woman before him. “You live here, too?” he chuckled, setting the menu down and taking in a deep breath. “I’ll take a water.” He grinned over at her. He’d always liked Toni, she was a good friend of Spencer’s and even a friend of his they had gotten along well before.

Spencer was happy to see Atticus. Well, she will be once the initial shock wore off. She kept space between them. Her mind was taking in everything and she didn’t want to react poorly. In Denver she had built a future inside her head for them. They moved in together. He left because she knew it was the right thing for them, and she would never want to hold him back from his dreams. Neither of them needed regret in their relationship. “It would be. It will be nice not working from home.” She was trying to keep the small talk going on. The brunette knew she was close with her dad. He took a real liking to Atticus. “Were you going to contact me?”
Atticus was glad this wasn’t the most awkward situation they’d been in. He knew that it was going to be rough at first but he hoped he could manage to get her to be in his life in one way or another. “Well..If you need any help getting settled into it if you do move into the space, I’d be happy to help.” he offered, he knew the ended things on good terms but it still hurt being apart. “Of course I was..I just wasn’t sure when to do it.” he admitted, “I wasn’t sure how you’d react..” he pressed his lips together for a moment. “I missed you.” he spoke softly, the words escaping from his lips without him even realizing.

The sound of his voice was like a sweet lullaby. The way her name rolled off his tongue brought back a flood of memories. Memories she tried to lock away. Losing Atticus for a second time took a real toll on her. Spencer still believed he was a figment of her imagination. A array of feelings swirled inside the brunette and she took a moment. Still needing convincing he was actually standing there, she reached out to poke him. He could of thought she was crazy, but it didn’t bother here. Atticus was here….in Hallow Grove.
She nodded her head slowly, replaying his words in her head, trying to form a sentence. “Things are….great.” She gave a soft smile. “Looking to lease office space.” That is what she was doing earlier. “You….moved here?” Surprise laced in her tone. “Oh…when did you move here?” How did he know she was here? “You’ve talked to my dad?”
Atticus stood for a moment, a bit confused but went with it as Spencer poked him. “Good to see you, too.” he couldn’t help but chuckle at the situation. All he wanted to do was pull her into a tight hug, but didn’t want to scare her off right away. “Glad they are..” he offered her a small smile, “You should. It’d be good to expand.” he assured her, he knew Spencer was great at what she did and only wanted to see her succeed. “I did...I know it probably seems crazy to you-” as she asked if he talked to her father he gave a light nod, “I moved here a few days ago.”

Spencer stood out of a small office space building that was for lease. She looked through the window closing her eyes, debating if she was ready to take this step or was it best to work from her home. She only had a few clients, but she wanted to expand into something bigger. She turned to lean against the brick building. Her eyes slowly opened and she let them scan over the small crowd of people who were walking down the other side of the street walk way. The brunette had no idea what she was looking for, but her eyes fell on someone very familiar. Her body instantly stood up straight and she closed her eyes only to open to find the same set of eyes. “Atticus?” She mumbled under her breath. There was no way he could be here. It had been nearly six months since they had last talked.
Without realizing it she was crossing the street, thankful that no cars were coming at her, stepping up on the other side. Everything seemed to go in slow motion. She could walk around each person that seemed to be going the tenth of the speed she was. She stopped a few yards in front of him, still not sure if he was a mirage. “Atticus?” She repeated his name a little louder that if he was standing there, he could hear her. “Wh-what are you doing here?”

Atticus was checking out the towns scenery. He wanted to get a feel of this place, so far he was enjoying it. He hadn’t contacted Spencer yet as he was trying to figure out what he’d say to her still. He didn’t want to scare her off by him going where she did, but he did still love her and at the very least wanted her in his life in some way. He was walking and had met with a few of his colleagues from the orchestra that day. He just parted with them and continued to walk down the street. He was surprised when he heard his name being called up the street in front of him. He stopped dead in his tracks and his eyes widened slightly as he saw the woman before him.
“Spencer..” he spoke softly at first before the shock of seeing her moved away, “Hey..How’s everything going?” he asked, curious about what was new in her life and also hoping to make this less awkward. “I-uh..well, I live here now...New Zealand wasn’t really working out.” He bit down on the inside of his cheek as he spoke, giving her a faint smile.
