Thor was a mighty warrior of Asgard, an Avenger of Earth... and yet here was where he felt fear. Monsters and aliens and enemies were nothing compared to a man who's flowers he had ruined -- though he suspected that was the least of his concerns at the moment. "I was hoping," he said again, trying to lower his voice somewhat this time. (He yelled when he was nervous. Or when he was excited. Or really, all the time.) "That we could talk for a few moments? I will be brief, I assure you."
Edward raised his brow when he saw his future brother-in-law approaching his office, though he obviously heard him first. "Very well, then," he nodded at Thor's request to talk and got up from his chair, leading him towards the seating area in the corner of his office, by the huge window. He kept his gaze fixed on the city while they waited for his secretary to come back with their teas. "You know," he started. "Whatever Loki had told you that night, I am completely on his side on that," Edward carried on, meaning every word he said. "Whatever he says or does, he has my unconditional support, even if we weren't planning to get married anytime soon."
