{ stefan }‌:
A month had passed since the last time he had spoken to Atalia but getting used to being without her was not becoming any easier. She was someone who he could talk to about anything whenever he wanted without worrying about burdening her because he knew that she was strong enough to handle it. But what she had done was unforgivable to him. When he had thought it was Gideon who had gotten Elodie hurt, he had tortured him, almost killed him. But with Atty, it was different. He kept telling himself he should let this go because it was an accident but he couldn’t bring himself to. Even though he had noticed how she had been trying to help Elodie in every way she could. Coming to visit her when she had been in hospital and giving her more potent potions whenever she could. He hadn’t stopped her because he knew her and he knew that she would never knowingly hurt his sister.Â
But despite all of that, he couldn’t just let this go and make up with her again. Avoiding her was not entirely easy though – because he didn’t want to. But he did it anyway, and whenever they had schedules together at the hospital, he would change his, which had been the case today them having back to back shifts at the hospital – except he hadn’t anticipated that he would run into her just as he was making his way there. He could have simply walked away when she spoke but bitter words fell through his lips before he could stop himself. “Wouldn’t really say that with your secret visits and your potions and everything. What were you trying this time? To poison her?"Â
Atalia knew he changed his schedules. They had often worked together before everything, so a sudden halt in them sharing schedules had been a tell tale sign. She was more perceptive than people gave her credit, not like she’d let on. If he wanted to avoid her and pretend like she wouldn’t find out, then who was she to burst his bubble. Atalia pushed passed him, her hands tucked in her jacket pockets, until she heard his bitter words and turned to face him. It took her a few moments to process he’d said, another accusation that cut straight to her core.
“Poison her? Are you kidding me, Stefan?” She turned on her heel, facing him again, unable to let that comment slide. “You should know better than anyone that I wouldn’t intentionally hurt Elodie, but I’m not going to have this conversation again.” Atalia stepped to the side, ready to storm off again, but a thought stopped her. She stopped, crossing her arms as she looked up at him. “You can be mad at me all you want, but you and I both know I make the best healing potions, I have the most experience testing if they work, and I am damn good at making them. So sue me for wanting to make sure Elodie got the best potions to heal faster. And sue me for for trying to make up for what I did.” After a moment, she scoffed and rolled her eyes, beginning to walk away again. As she passed him, she muttered, “You may not miss me, but I’m not going to stop caring about her.”
{ niobe }‌:
Niobe honestly wasn’t sure how many nights she’d been out drinking this break. Home was insufferable. Her mother was more on her case than usual about acting like a proper lady, her brother was being the perfect son, and her father… She hadn’t spoken to her father since she’d realized he’d been talking to the Yaxley’s about a betrothal. It felt like a slap in the face to not give her Corban, her best friend, no matter how fine things were with Max. Gin and tonic in hand, she slumped down in her booth at the bar, comfortably alone for the first time that day… until a familiar form slid down next to her.Â
“–Selwyn, can’t get enough of me?” she teased her roommate, sitting up a bit straighter. “I’m sure you’re as miserable as I am, so please, sit. Drink.”
@atty-arke-selwyn
Atalia didn’t really enjoy going home for breaks--the Selwyn manor was too quiet, her father’s disapproving comments too much. Any chance she got, she’d leave the house and wander to any pub or bar that caught her eye. As soon as she entered the bar, she spotted Niobe and moved toward her. “What can I say, Bulstrode? You really brighten my day.”
It had been nearly a month of avoiding Stefan, the one person who knew almost every facet of her life. After that fight they’d gotten in after Valentine’s, she would sneak into the Hospital Wing to leave Elodie potions that she knew worked better than the watered down crap Madam Pomfrey gave her. She hadn’t expected an entire month to pass, but it had, and she wasn’t about to grovel at his feet and beg for forgiveness. It never worked.
Since Elodie had gotten out of the Hospital Wing, she didn’t have an excuse to be near her, and had stopped reaching out to the girl too, effectively losing her best friend and another sister. It was isolating—even when she was used to not having her actual sister around—and it was all she could do to distract herself with extra hours in the Hospital Wing. She was leaving one day, after another sleepless night and a Saturday morning shift, when she ran into the very person who had been avoiding her. “Stef,” she said, her eyebrows raising in slight surprise. Her features soften as she looked up at him, wanting to apologize, but her face quickly turned stoic again as she continued. “Don’t worry, I’m not here to bother you—I’m staying away like you asked.”

While Atalia didn’t want anyone to know about her being under a mask at the attack, but she couldn’t lie to Stefan, and she couldn’t let him go around kicking himself for the young girl getting hurt when it was her fault. “As much as I’d love some alone time with you,” she said with a smirk, no matter how nervous she felt, “I just need to tell you that I–” Atalia sighed. “One of my spells hit El. I…she was supposed to be with her date, not in the middle of the attack and one of my stray spells hit her…”
His brows rose in amusement before his face fell at her admission, and he turned pale as he began to understand what she was trying to tell him. “You attacked my sister?” he whispered, taking a step closer to her, eyes blazing with fury. “Is that an excuse?” His voice grew louder, anger seeping through his words. “That she was there in the middle of chaos? You are supposed to fucking protect her if she wasn’t where she was supposed to be and instead you attack her? What the fuck is wrong with you?” He began to pace around the room, fingers running through his hair before he stepped towards her again. “Stray spells.” A hollow laugh fell through his lips. “Stray spells from following orders from your fucking Master. Are you so obsessed with pleasing some deranged cult leader than you have lost sight of your friends?”Â
“I didn’t attack her,” she said, determined to keep her voice strong as she stared up at him. Her eyebrows knit together at the accusation, but if there was one thing she could admit her father taught her, it was how to stand her ground when a man tried to make her feel small, no matter how short she was. “I threw a spell and it rebounded from a defensive shield. It hit her before I could stop it, but I did not attack her, Stefan.” Her anger started bubbling to the surface as he stepped toward her, eventually reaching up to jab a finger to his chest. “Do not pretend you are so high above me just because you don’t follow him. You have the same beliefs.” Atalia poked his chest again, punctuating her words. “You aren’t more pure just because you don’t have a tattoo on your arm—I haven’t lost sight of my friends! Have you?”
{ adira }‌:
“You don’t need to be dramatic, Atalia.” Adira held up a note–obviously from their parents. Well, their mother, to be exact. “Mother wants to know if you’re coming home during the break.” With Adira, there was no question from her mother. Her obedience was expected. However, the elder of the twins wondered what would happen if she decided to just stay at Hogwarts for the break. Pretend that her studies were overwhelming and she needed to stay behind to work on them. But she knew she didn’t have it in her. Her gaze fell down to the bottle–firewhiskey wasn’t her favorite by any shot, but it worked in a pinch. “I see you’re enjoying yourself.”
“If you knew me, you’d know that wasn’t me being dramatic,” she said, an icy tone seeping into her words. Atalia took a big swig of the firewhiskey as she tossed her book to the ground beside her. “I was under the impression that mother forgot I even existed.” She pushed herself up to stand and faced Adira. “A drink of firewhiskey won’t kill you, you know? It might even get you to loosen up every once in a while. Merlin knows you need it.”
{ vivian }‌:
“I’m sure we will,” Vivian mused with a smirk. “Oh, understandable,” It was something she used to do after all, she couldn’t exactly blame the other. “Well we have plenty of it. Care to do some shots?”
“Now you’re speaking my language.” A small smirk turned up one corner of her mouth and she gestured to crowd. “Show me the way, love.”
{ cordelia }‌:
Cordelia made a small face, mostly about the fact she wasn’t satisfied about her routine more than the other’s comment. “Terrible is a word I’d use to describe.” She started, before trying to smile a little. “But I’m glad it can still be considered entertaining.”
“I wasn’t the one who said it,” Atalia said, raising her hands on either side of her head. “Why are you even doing that--whatever that was? It’s not like anything I’ve seen. Compliment or insult still pending.”
{ vivian }‌:
“Of course. Didn’t trust anyone else to plan it,” Vivian shrugged her shoulders, taking a sip of her drink with a grimace. God she hadn’t particularly missed the taste of alcohol. “Take it you’re here for the booze,”
“A woman who knows what she wants. We’ll get along great.” Atalia took a sip of the drink, watching the other as she grimaced. “Not gonna lie. I’ll show up anywhere that has free booze.”
{ xander }‌:
“Um, excuse you,” Xander said, pulling his plate towards himself. “These are my chips, mine,” he told the other. “I offered to get you some, but you said no, so don’t go eyeing my curlies like that,” he said, pointing an accusing finger at his face and glaring at him playfully. “Unless that’s hunger for me, then we could skip the chips entirely and feast on each other instead,” he joked and winked at his friend teasingly, just this side of obnoxious. @finestra-starters
“It’s one chip,” she said with a glare in his direction. “I think you’ll survive losing it.” Atalia quickly grabbed one while he flirted, smirking as she took a bite of it. “But I won’t say I’m not tempted with the offer, Xander.”
{ @adirairisselwyn }
Atalia was lounging at the edge of the lake, a bottle firewhiskey laying beside her as she flipped through the pages of her favorite book--a past time not many people knew that she loved. She was entranced deep into her chapter when the sound of footsteps brought her out of it. Dropping the book to her chest and seeing the all too familiar face, she rolled her eyes. “Merlin’s beard.” She sat up and grabbed the bottle to take a sip. “Come to disturb me in my sanctuary, dear sister?”

{ cordelia }‌:
Cordelia had been trying to nail that new routine she was working on. And quite frankly, to an untrained eye, it probably looked nearly perfect. But it was never good enough for her. And as she finished it once one, she made a small displeased face. “This was terrible.” She mumbled under her breath. Only when she turned over to stop the music did she realize someone else was in there. “Oh, shoot! Didn’t realize you were here.”Â
( @finestra-starters )
Atalia was intrigued when she came across the other doing her routine. Her attention was pulled and she found herself leaning against the doorway until the other was done. “Don’t stop on my account. That--” She raised an eyebrow, gesturing vaguely to Cordelia. “What ever that was was fairly entertaining.”

A smile slipped onto Vivian’s lips as she moved throughout the crowd gathered at the boat house. While she wasn’t particularly fond of the idea of having a party, it was her birthday and she needed some sort of normality, didn’t she? The girl poured two glasses of juice, pouring vodka in one before she hovered the bottle over the second glass. She knew she shouldn’t, but she desperately wanted to push the letters to the back of her mind. She poured the alcohol in the the second glass, shoving the bottle back on the makeshift bar as she slipped back into the crowd.Â
Spotting the other standing to the side, Vivian pushed the cup towards their hands. “Here, have a drink. It is a party after all,” She plastered a grin on her lips. “Also it’s my birthday, kinda hard to say no to me,” She teased.
Atalia wasn’t entirely sure who the party was for, but she’d be hard pressed to miss any party where she had an excuse to drink. She was walking through the party when someone handed her a cup and she didn’t care enough about finding out who it was before she took a drink. “Well lucky me and happy birthday to you. I guess this is your party?”
{ evan }‌:
Great. This was just great, but maybe he should’ve expected that to happen sooner or later. But even knowing it would happen didn’t make the walk from the gym all the way to the Slytherin commons, in nothing more than his boxers, any more enjoyable. So he tried to make it there quickly, trying to ignore anyone he might pass by on the way. Until he felt a pair of eyes seemingly staring for longer than the others. “I know, I know. I’ll take some points off Slytherin.” Evan said as he turned to look at whoever was there. “I’ll even send myself to detention if that’s really needed.”
( @finestra-starters )
Atalia almost laughed when she saw Evan walking down the hallway in his boxers. “Oh, I’m not a prefect, love, I don’t have that power.” She smirked, her head tilting to one side as she looked him over. “Though, I am enjoying the view.”

“Mhm,” Atalia hummed, letting her fingers continue brush over his knuckles as she muttered another healing spell. “They’ll be sore, but soon enough you won’t have to be reminded of it all.” With his hand still in hers, she stood up, gently pulling him with her. “We can go anywhere,” she said, seeing him glance back at the hallway he had first come from and deciding to take him in the opposite direction. “Let’s get some air–no one will be outside and fresh air always helps me.” Atalia cleared her throat at the small admission of how she dealt with her injuries slipped from her mouth, but she quickly pushed on. “You won’t have to talk to anyone else, answer any questions you don’t want to. You can just…breathe for a moment.”
“Thank you.” he murmured gratefully as he met the blonde’s eyes. He didn’t know what he was doing letting the other comfort him, she had been far harder to quit that any drug he had ever taken but he allowed himself to seek comfort in her soothing words and her soft touches. “Fresh air, okay.” he agreed and got up with her, ready to go wherever she wanted him to as long as he didn’t have to stay in there and think about what he had done.Â
END.
{ alecto }‌:
Alecto raises her eyebrow suggestively at the compliment but doesn’t vocally regard it. Instead her lips curve into a quick smirk before swinging her head back as she downs the shot, appreciating its pleasant burn. “Well it’s not like anyone’s giving me a reason to be in any better mood than I am at the moment.”
She watched Alecto down the shot, pulling her bottom lip between her teeth while her eyes raked over her body. “I’d give you a reason to be in a better mood, love.”
