i know ive talked about it before but i was really really scared to get back into star trek because when i did like it, i became so hyper fixated it was mentally debilitating for me, as well as other things, but i’ve been watching a couple episodes of snw and been looking at random little memes on pinterest and it’s not too bad. i still got this bad feeling going to post this because i still negatively associate star trek with bad things.

i was unwell when i got into it, so kind of like how people who have beat cancer associate certain smells and tastes with being sick/chemotherapy if it was a food they ate during chemo, when i think of star trek, i think of how i felt while watching it for the first time, which was generally bad, and then i start feeling bad

also, like i said, being so so obsessed with it worsened my mental state, which really just drives my first point home. and, there were a lot of people who made fun of me for liking Star Trek, even in a lighthearted way, soo..

point is i negatively associate star trek with a bad time in my life but i still really like it and want to try getting back into it again, even though im scared to.
