Arjun gave a small nod, moving on from their initial subject while he finished tidying the last of the disarray. Much better, he thought, casting a smile over his shoulder as Elliot agreed to his offer for a drink. The deity wasn't sure why, but something about the prospect of sharing a drink with him, made him feel a rare, genuine sense of ease.

Soon enough, Arjun was behind the bar, pulling a bottle of aged amber liquid from the shelf as well as two separate glasses. Hearing Naz's name certainly had an effect, but it was the confession that followed which caused Arjun’s movements to slow down, and then still. "..I can, actually." he huffed, looking around the suite. "I've...been going through a similar situation. And as you can see, not very well." Arjun was not proud of it, which is why he proceeded to pour generously and slid one of the glasses towards the other. "I'm sorry, Elliot..maybe you're not getting that love back, but you deserve it, and you'll find it again. I'm sure."

He tooke the offered glass and almost immediately took a long draft of it. "Birds of a feather." He raised his glass to him with a bit of a smirk to it. "Your way of handling it seems far more fun than mine.."

Find it again... am interesting concept taht he was likely to continue to ignore. The idea of finding that again felt impossible but that might be the drink talking.

"You have more faith that I, but I appreciate it." Elliot gave him a soft smile. He had a good idea of what had been Arjun's heartbreak and his own shared a mailing address. "What about you? Do you have hope that you will find love again?"

"Whatever you say will be our secret of course."

"I'm not easily spooked," they assured. If anything, Lian felt like they had become someone people would be spooked by. Elliot seemed far too sweet to scare her on purpose.

"Then she certainly won't like that I'm a widower," they chuckled. Lian was knew to the whole charity scene but a few women had already assumed all her money came from her deceased husband so maybe word would get around. If she had to be a distraction or target for the other women's envy, she'd happily shoulder it for such pretty eye candy. Elliot being a gentleman was a bonus.

Lian's eyes followed his voice, taking note of the partygoers for the next charity event. "He doesn't look like he'd be very quick. Although, maybe in the bedroom," she mused. The man looked all dolled up but he was fraying at the edges. One too many late nights at the bar had left him sloppy, his shirt was stained and his tie askew and the night was still relatively early. "I think we should steer clear of him as well, he looks like the touchy type," the witch said, guiding them away from that corner of the room and towards the other corner of the room.

"A widower? Then you're very right, she certainly will not." He gave her a smile, he wouldn't prod further. He was curious of course, a habit of his nature but he'd learned to control that specific urge over time. Prying into the woman you've just met's romantic life seemed rude and not how he wanted to start off this nice little friendship.

"You would be correct, he's originally called 'Quick' due to being a cheap and often underhanded contractor." He smirked, "Well, I'm sure Mrs. Quick would be happy to tell you about his... performance." Elliot was more than happy to follow alongside her to the other corner. "I will admit however, that none of these people are even half as interesting as you appear to be."

"Same with vampires, so I was mostly protecting my people without having to worry much about myself." He shrugged. It sounded like Elliot had been with someone who was human or maybe a witch, but he and Elliot ran in different enough circles that Chris had no idea who he was talking about. "Are you not able to spend time with them normally? Schedules not working?"

"Who's watson?" He couldn't remember anyone in the city with that name, but that really didn't mean much given how many people there were.

"We are more recently friends, so it was a bit more of a learning to know each other better." His and Lian's.. companionship? or wahtever it was, was still in it's infancy. Given their time in the dream he could at least hope that they would grow closer here in the outside world.

He chuckled a little, "Watson is my dog."

"Might seem odd given I'm a dog spirit but it's good to have company. As often as people say I should get a cat we really dont get along still." Cats had always irked him before he was this and now long after he'd become human ish too. Animals were still easier than people, he was trying to not reach that point again where both humans and supernaturals had started to drive him to insanity.

"Though I guess I'm not the only animal spirit that does though."

[ text: elliot atwood]: No allergies from my side! And I'm not a picky eater, I promise. [ text: elliot atwood]: Is there anything I should avoid? I know you like sweet things. Or at least I think so... this whole dream thing makes it hard to tell.

[text: lian koeman]: Sounds good then I will grab ingrediants. [text: lian koeman]: I'm not a big chocolate guy but that's about it. Sweets as a whole are still something I like very much.

"See, I usually find people like her interesting. They add a little bit of spice to a world that is otherwise predictable." Mostly, predictable, the deity thought, observing the man as he entered the suite. The disarray everywhere was obvious. Bed sheets, articles of clothing, shoes, and..some other items clearly used for pleasure. Because of that, Arjun made haste on clearing the space, smiling over the shoulder when he listened to Elliot's insinuation. "Well, would you like to? Surely it can't be so bad. I won't tell if you don't."

Why did this feel like fun? And why did he just..wink at the spirit? It was as if he was encouraging it. Turning around, the deity leaned against the bar, looking at the man across the room with wonder in his eyes, "..did you have a reason for drinking? Are you alright?"

"Then you two should get a long fine just don't tell her you're friends with me, trust me." He didn't want his personal realtionship with the woman to sour things for Arjun should he wish to poke his head into that space. He would probably get on with her and their taste in finer things would match up well.

"If you wont tell then, I wont say no to a drink." He wandered over to sit in one of the bar stools and debated on how much to tell him. How much did he really wish to let out? Or was Arjun even the right person to talk about this too?

"I would say physically alright, mentally and emotionally not so much." He chuckled a little, fuck it, they'd already agreed they weren't going to tell right? "I think you're familliar with my ah ex wife, Naz? I am finally accepting that I'm not getting that love I had back. Which has not been exactly a fun transition in thinking as you can imagine."

"It was interesting to see." He chuckled. "Though it made me very glad the hairstyles haven't come back into fashion." It was hard to picture Elliot in 70s era clothing even though he had sort of seen it only a little while ago.

"That zombie thing was weird. I was with Auggie in that dream but he had a different face. I guess I must have seen the guy somewhere and thought his face looked right." He had no actual idea how the group dreams worked or if other people had seen the same face, but it had been nice to get to run around in a world where Auggie was alive, even if everything else was messed up. "What were you doing in that whole thing?"

"Oh come on they weren't all bad." He chuckled altough a lot of them that were pretty awful, he still liked his. Back then he and Will had been getting into all sorts of trouble, maybe he could get the old friend to come have a bit of fun with him.

"The dreams are strange, they pull from our minds and from the world around us perhaps someone else named Auggie is running about and your mind asociated it the Mr. Lycaon. I imagine his family all would have liked to see him running about again." He chuckled a little, "I'm a spirit so the Zombies didn't really pay me any mind I instead got to enjoy a lot of time wandering collecting supplies. I was with a friend and her nephew through it, it was a nice change."

He still thought about that a lot the relationships he'd built with the two were changed now but he still felt that simillar desire to protect and comfort them. "It was nice to be able to run about properly again with Watson of course."

Arjun felt the heat in his cheeks intensify the moment he realized what the spirit was staring at. It was one thing to be seen in a state of undress by a lover, sure, but not someone you hadn't seen in such a long time..and you found attractive. "I must admit, I haven't had the pleasure of meeting miss Zaman yet, but I'm guessing 'pleasure' is not the right word here?" He huffed a small, dry laugh, his fingers tightening instinctively around said robe. The other's proposal felt surprisingly easy to accept and soon, the art curator was opening the door to his suite, his head coming down with a nod. "Please. Come in," he offered, gesturing toward the sitting area inside. "I'll clean up the disarray while you get comfortable. C-can I offer you a drink?"

"That might be for the best. She's a bit... intense. I'm sure she's a pleasure to anyone that isn't a cop or a lawyer." He was after all the second in that category and worse so he had a rather stringent moral code. Something Ms. Zaman seemed to lack based on the evidence he'd been given. "She actually might like you however you're not going to throw her in jail or anything."

He smiled and stepped inside with him, "Don't worry about that, I'm the one who showed up unannounced." He flashed Arjun a smile feeling bad for having imposed on him and made him seemingly a little unsettled. "Well I'm afraid that if I drink anymore I may decide to get into some shenanigans or tom foolery so if you want to see me drunk then I will."

"I've never actually watched Casablanca till recently. I've seen plenty of other ww2 movies but not that one." Being an overbearing director had at least meant that he had half the movie memorized in the dream. He'd finally watched it afterward to see how much was the same or different.

"A few of the dreams have been... intense. That old west murder mystery thing definitely threw me for a loop." He chuckled, not sure if that was really the right word for it. There was also the undead thing but that had just been surreal. "What about you? Any of them that have stuck with you?"

"They're not one I watch often... the curse of age I guess. When you've lived in it. Reliving it isn't exactly something one looks forward to." He rubbed the back of his neck, "I was nice to be back in the 70s though. That I missed."

"I missed that one, I was in Japan at the time. Needed a bit of a break from the city, but I heard that one was quite intense." He had to think about it a little before nodding, "The Zombie one..that brought to light some things for me that I'd been avoiding... So now I'm dealing with it..slowly but surely. How about you?"

The flush of her cheeks felt red hot and she dropped her gaze from his charming smile. "You don't seem very scary," they answered, finding their voice again now they weren't eye to eye. Something about their new friend said he wouldn't do anything that could scare her of. They were likely to spook themselves.

"Then it looks like I found the right person to make friends with," they chuckled. The dramatics made the witch giggle as they followed beside him through the crowd. If champagne was necessary, they knew the gossip had to be good so they were already hooked on finding out about the mysterious woman. Murmuring a thanks, she took a sip of champagne because it felt like the right thing to do before the gossip commenced.

How scandalous indeed but not uncommon. Even her name sounded like she came from old money and legacy families normally produced the worst people. Liantightened their hold on Elliot's arm, leaning into laugh like he had told her a wonderful joke. Mrs Woodcrest's eyes narrowed in their direction immediately, like a hawk locking on to prey. "Let her get jealous," Lian suggested. "People with too much money think they can get whatever they want, it's always nice to prove them wrong."

"I would hope not, at least not to you." He gave them a smile, "I'd hate spook my new friend."

How he'd gotten lucky enough to make friends with the smartest person in the room he couldn't be sure but damn was it nice. Her coaxing that look out of Woodcrest made him chuckle a little. "I appreciate that more than you know. She's been after me since she found I wasn't married to my business partner. Lets see what else I can tell you..."

"The drunk man to our left, that's Arnold Quick, I'm pretty sure he legally changed his last name to Quick. He's the local charity lush, he hears 'Open Bar' and suddenly he has to be here. Is the cost of the ticket to come more than he's probably drinking? Yes but it makes him happy to drink the 'free' booze. His words. He owns a chain of gas stations, I think the only reason he's at this event is because his wife is a big animal lover." He shrugs, and starts to lead them else where in the party. "Man in the red button up is Bob Feldt, he's currently in an affair with Mrs. Quick."

😡 What is the last thing that they totally overreacted to?

uuh.... he's currently having a hoe phase because he finally accepted he's not getting naz back? Does that count?

🤔 What do they find they spend a lot of time wondering about?

He thinks about a lot of stuff... some times it dumb shit like is the ocean soup. He loves that stuff. He may just really love arguing.

😒 What is something that will instantly annoy them?

Animal mistreatment for obvious reasons. It's why so much of his money is donated to charity. He has a significant savings but the rest of it goes to funding shelters all over the place and usually does so anonymously

🙈 When do they feel the most guilt? How do they respond to it?

Elliot is a king of unjustified guilt. He will feel guilty for the way the system fails people despite the amount of probono and civil rights work that he does to combat that. Man needs a chill pill.

👍🏻 What do they consider the best decision they’ve made thus far in their life?

Naz, it'll be Naz for a long time. She was a lot of his life and now it's best that he lets her go as much as it's hurtting him to do so but he knows that he can't be what she needs any more and needs to figure out what he wants and be on his own.

💋 Do they have an ideal "type" in a romantic partner?

Elliot just wants someone kind that will love him as much as he loves them. This is a simple man, with a big old heart.
