Before the fandom forms a homogenous opinion about the dark enchantress war finale, I just want to say that I LIKED IT and thought it was WELL WRITTEN

Yeah I know some parts of it could've better, I LIKE THE IMPERFECTIONS

(small rant and spoilers below)

Like yes, I am tired of shadow milk cookie (I never liked him that much to begin with) but I can't help but be excited about where his story leads with the timelines

I don't like how the beasts were handled in general, and I find Sugar Swan's involvement to be jarring for who she is

BUTTTT

So often people have such little faith in Devsisters writing and it BOTHERS ME SO BAD 😭

All those updates where people were just saying "errmmm so this wont ever be addressed again" and THEY WERE ADRESSED (for example, the premonition of doom update)

I am happy to follow along with a narrative, because I know that things will lead to another. And even if they don't, I feel like it makes the world more wider and full of mystery

Like I just feel a loud minority are so negativity and it's draining to engage with other's thoughts

I know this is a little passive aggressive, and if anyone genuinely didn't like this update I would be more than willing to hear why

Ultimately, I just want more people to be able to enjoy the story and not focus on the flaws

(THATS NOT TO SAY WE CAN'T CRITICISE THEIR WRITING, cuz trust me I still have my damn issues with development sister's dumb writing choices LET ME TELL YOU-!)

Its kinda sad how we went from Moonlight having a whole two updates dedicated to her to arguably one of the most important legendary characters being thrown into the finale of the war with (presumably) no consequential input.

Like did they just have to fill a quota of adding a legendary into this update???

I really like Sugar Swan and all things surrounding her, I was hoping her Kingdom iteration would be more impactful then just Devsis rushing to add all pre-existing legendries so they can get them out of the way

I know these are all assumptions based off the trailer, and I'd be happily surprised if I was wrong but lets be realistic here 😭

the loss of TreeSwan is so tragic to me. they were such a cute primordial pairing :C

like I'm sure there's someway to twist the story so that it works, but it feels objectively weird to try and attempt that, especially with how Wind Archer and Millie seem so familial (and we all know WA is undeniably Sugar Swan's son), so it's better to just let the ship die peacefully

Oh well, go my LonganTree, you guys like actually have a canonical child together LMAO

Devsis on their way to dismantle multiple years of head canons by making Millennial tree technically younger than Wind Archer 💀

me personally, I was a huge fan of parental Millennial Tree and Sugar Swan, with Wind being their son but honestly I don't mind this new dynamic.

I think ancient beings can have far incomprehensible relationships to each other and not fit our ideas of what a relationship could be like

Anyway, that story was really good, I'm glad we got to see so many characters and I think it addressed a few things people were hoping for
