Isn't this the most glorious thing you've ever seen?
How I Use My Indian Healing Clay
I use this mask about once a week, or whenever my skin needs a good, deep cleanse.
I mix this product up in a ziplock bag, because otherwise it makes a mess. I take about a tablespoon and a half of the powder, one tablespoon of raw Apple cider vinegar, and then I mix in about 3-4 tablespoons of water. You can make the vinegar and water equal parts, but I personally think that vinegar is just too harsh for my face, so I like to dilute it with water.
Once it turns into a paste, I put the mask on as a spot treatment, over any pimples or areas of skin where my pores feel clogged. I leave it on for 20-25 minutes.
When you’re taking this mask off, make sure to NOT do it over the sink, because you do not want this thick clay clogging your pipes.
I love this mask because as soon as I get a little pink bump on my skin, I put this over it and it brings the pimple to a head immediately.
Lately, I've made some additions to this mask that have made it exceptionally better!
1) I add about half a teaspoon of honey to the mask, sometimes a little bit more than that in the winter when my skin is dry. It makes my skin so soft afterwards
2) I add turmeric! Usually about half a teaspoon as well, but usually I eyeball it so it's a little more or a little less. Turmeric is great for acne scars and it reduces inflammation. Last week I broke out all over my forehead, but after using this mask twice this week, the pimples are gone and all that's left are a couple of marks which are getting smaller by the day!! (Turmeric has a very strong flavor/smell to it; and if you add too much it will make you skin a little orange afterwards. Nothing that can't be washed off, but be aware)
***also I apply a very thick layer of the mask, which takes longer to dry completely, but it makes it easier to take off cause it comes off in big chunks. Also I would recommend gently washing your face with a kognac sponge afterwards to make sure everything is off your face***
