Amelia: You got me at co-interior designer. You know how insane I get when I plan something and then execute it, righ? I mean you've seen my work. I can totally babysit for some nights when I'm free. Though with this lottery happening, it's quite sure the business will increase.

Amelia: Well...I have most of it covered. Except the groom's side.

Aubrey: Oh, perfect! I can't wait to see what you can come up with. I have so many ideas for the house.

Aubrey: That's good! How are you dealing with it all?

Yea, I’m the same. I rather sooner than later, so I can at least get started. I wonder if they allow us to get a quick justice of peace wedding for those who may not want the whole big thing. I think a lot of people would do it that way if they could. 

Did you do anything for memorial day weekend?

I’m sure they’ll allow it, as long as it’s a legit marriage. That’s all they want. I honestly think that’d be easier for a lot of people. Though, I don’t know I’d really like to get to know the person first before marrying them you know? 

No, I didn’t do much. I don’t have a lot of friends around here and my family was busy. So, I just wrote a few more chapters for my book and spent some time re-decorating the house. How about you?

It’s always nice when you’re close to your siblings. I love mine and though sometimes we fight, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I think I want someone that I know also because if not, it will be really awkward, especially when you have to kiss them at the altar. At least you have three months to get to know them and be somewhat comfortable with them. Are you hoping to get chosen soon, or you want to delay it as much as possible?

Yeah, I can’t even imagine what life would be like if Artie and weren’t close when we weren’t growing up. Oh, yes I think it’s great they give us at least three months. I don’t know what I’d do if they’d expect us to get married right away, because that would not fly with me. Honestly, I’m not sure what I want to happen. I think no matter how long I delay it, it’s going to happen no matter what so it might as well just happen sooner rather than later.

Amelia: You totally want me as your nanny, don't you?

Amelia:I'm...dealing with it. I have a very good man that the higher council picked so I can't say anything. Even though I have everything planned...it's freaking me out the fact that in less than 3 months I will be a married woman.

Aubrey: No, I want you to be my co-interior designer because my house could definitely use some direction and I'm not getting anywhere. Though, a babysitter for one night might be nice.

Aubrey: That's good at least. I'm always here to help you with whatever you need. Just say the word.

How were you and Artie growing up? Were there lots of fights, or did you get along pretty well? I think potential matches should think about kids, or about having kids and figure out if that’s something they want. And hopefully, the higher Counsel would take that into account and match you with someone who can see kids in their future and are good with kids. Someone had mentioned to me that they try to match you with people you’re compatible with, but I don’t know if I believe that. I mostly think it’s random and it’s up to us to make the best of it.

Artie and I were pretty close growing up, which I’m thankful for. I’m sure we had a few fights here and there as teenagers, but nothing major. Just things that siblings like to fight over, you know? I hope you’re right about that, but I have a feeling that they just throw them together randomly as well. Hopefully, I’ll get matched with someone I at least know and that will make it a little less awkward of an exchange.

I try to be a great brother. It’s a hit and miss sometimes. It sounds tough being a single mom, but it seems like you have a great support system. I hope that when you do get matched, that you get someone that will be a good step-parent for your daughter. What’s her name by the way?

That happens with every sibling relationship. All you can do is try your best and be there when they need you. It’s been hard, but everyday get’s a little easier. Once of the reasons I moved back to Lima actually. Thanks, I hope so too. I’m not sure very many potential matches really think about having a kid already thrown into the mix, so that’s got me kind of worried. Her name is Emma.

Oh, yea. My sister at the age wasn’t fun at all, so I avoided her as much as I could. I’m just glad she grew out of it. Yes, let Artie babysit so you can enjoy a little adult time. Are you looking forward to the lottery happening?

I’m glad she grew out of it, I’m sure she’s a great woman now. You sound like a great brother. I’ll have to ask him, I’m sure he or my parents wouldn’t mind. I’m honestly not sure how to feel. It’s mostly my parents who want me to enter and I’m still trying to figure out how to be a single mom.

Amelia: Aubs...you are talking to a control freak who's hobby is organize clothes from size and color...I'd love to do that, give my opinion and meet Emma finally!

Amelia: I get you. When I came back from New York it was pretty odd, but I made the right choice. You have to know that even if Artie and I aren't together anymore, we will be always friends.

Aubrey: You are the best!

Aubrey: I'm happy that you guys are still friends. It's nice that you two are able to stay that way after all these years have past.

[TEXT] I think that sounds great! Do you want to come over? You can see the new house, it’s not as big and fancy as mom and dad would approve of, but it’s perfect for my liking.

Are you two settling in okay? And nothing wrong with being a diva. I’m sure it’s cute because everything babies do is cute. My sister was a little diva when she was little, but when she got to the teen years, she drove my mother crazy. Though she grew out of it a bit. You should. Everyone needs a break from real life and responsibilities every now and then.

Yeah, we’re doing okay. It’s hard unpacking with a toddler, but I’ve slowly gotten everything where it needs to be by now. That’s very true, it’s hard to get mad at her when she does something wrong because she is pretty adorable. Oh wow, I’m sure you didn’t have fun dealing with your sister when she was a teenager either. One thing I’m thankful for is that, I have a long way to go before I have to deal with those years. I’ll have to ask Artie if he could babysitt for a night and I’ll take the night for myself.

Amelia: Do you know who you are talking to? Organization is my middle name, and it should be my first if we are being honest. Despite what I may show, I really love kids. So I'm serious, if you ever need help, just tell me.

Amelia: You were busy yourself. Life isn't always as we thought or planned it. So do not apologize, at least not with me.

Aubrey: I knew there must be a reason, we're such amazing friends. If that's one thing we have in common it's our organization skills. Honestly, I'd love to see you and maybe get some second opinons on where I should place stuff around the house if you're up for it? Plus, you can meet Emma for the first time!

Aubrey: Thanks Amelia, I do really appreciate it. It's nice to be back in Lima and having old friends around.

Amelia: Oh shusssh. My parents are theatre bound, there’s a gene out there that I might have inherited :P Oh my…I feel you. When I came back from NY, I spent days organizing everything by color and size. It must be harder, so if you need a babysitter, I’m in. I’m good, working as always.

Aubrey: I know it's so hard when you want everything organized and neat, but you also have a one and half year old running around. Honestly, you shouldn't have offered yourself up. I might never let you leave now lol

Aubrey: I'm glad to hear that. I'm sorry I haven't been in touch more. After everything that happened, it just took me awhile to get my feet off the ground and my main focus was Emma and trying to figure out what next you know?

Thank you very much. Thankfully, she hasn’t gotten there quite yet! I’m not sure that I’m ready for that. She did get my attitude that’s for sure, she’s quite the little diva already. I didn’t really do anything. I just finished unpacking and spent the day chasing after Emma in the backyard, which was nice. That’s very sweet of you, I guess I’ll just have to take you up on it one of these nights.

She’s almost one and half, which is crazy to think about. You’re probably right, I could use a night out. It’s been a while since I’ve had a night to myself.
