Daydream of a modern restaurant AU this morning where Ed's decided to make new name badges for his staff that include pronouns and Izzy just goes apeshit about it. Like "this is a Michelin-star restaurant Edward. We don't do that here Edward. Everyone is going to think you've gone woke Edward." And when Ed just sighs and asks him his pronouns for his badge, Izzy just does that thing transphobes do where they're like "I don't have any pronouns!!!" and storm off

So Ed decides. Okay. Malicious compliance time

When the new badges arrive, where everyone else's look like "Ed, he/him" Izzy's just says "Izzy, Izzy." Ed starts exclusively talking about Izzy like "hey, Fang, can you go check in with Izzy? Izzy said Izzy wanted to see you in Izzy's office" and when Izzy's like wtf Ed reminds him that he said he didn't have pronouns. Everyone else follows suit, except for Archie, who has in good faith assumed that Izzy is using his own name as a bold new set of neopronouns and is trying to figure out how to conjugate "Izzyself" pronouns
