It was no secret that she always struggled with her weight. It was difficult to brush it off sometimes and while she was pretty athletic regardless of it, Molly couldn’t help but feel some sort of way when girls walked past her and laughed as she ate. It was her anxiety, she was sure. She was sure they probably werne’t even looking at her but regardless, that didn’t take away the feelings that had surfaced. She set down what she was snacking on and put her hands on her lap as she pretended to be focused on the book in front of her instead. She was trying so hard to think positive things that she didn’t hear someone yelling her name, “What!?!” She said a little too loudly that it even took herself by surprise, “Sorry.. I wasn’t paying attention. Everything okay?”
She was slightly taken aback when Molly finally responded, temporarily frozen in panic as she wondered if she should have stopped trying to get the other’s attention and left her alone instead. The moment Molly changed her tone though, Aura relaxed a bit. “I was only going to ask if you were still eating that,” she said, glancing towards the snack. “Sorry. I disturbed you, didn’t I?”
