He knew that Cricket saw things a different way. Jonah couldn’t always understand but he always tried to at least. He knew loud noises were not something that Cricket was fond of nor people speaking in loud tones. He arched a brow and then glanced over at the ride, making a face. “It’s rather annoying.” He agreed, “How about we go somewhere else? Somewhere with less people?”
Cricket breathed in through his nose--hard--and then pushed the air right back out--hard. It was difficult for him to move with all these noises boxing him in. People didn’t get that. That sound could affect your limbs this way. They could, at least they could for Cricket. But this was Jonah. This was his brother. He just wanted him to be proud of him. Instead, it seemed like most days he was just a burden. It was with that thought that he pushed himself off of the ground. “Okay,” he whispered.
