...manage to come up with a way to get one over on Blue Jeans Benny, who had spent a tidy sum of the payout from the first merc job he ever worked- in fact, nearly the entirety of the cash he made, and it was a job he'd just about bought the farm on, too -on a colossal pair of jeans for his Archer. Custom-fashioned, real rivets and everything.

You could be as skeptical as you liked, nobody ever quite got past his quick-draw rebuttal of "well, your 'mech isn't wearing any pants, and frankly that's worse." There was something in the way he spit it out that could just shut the conversation down pat.

Alas, Blue Jeans died to not one but two PPC cockpit-shots- hitting at the exact same time, so at least his ticket was punched quick- over Baker 3 way, or was it Graceland. But his 'mech wore those patched-up jeans to the last.
