Afternoon Tea
alicejlongbottom:
Alice leaned her head on Frankâs broad shoulder, sighing before she smiled a little and stated âI have always appreciated your optimism, love.â She let her tea linger on the table where she had set it down. All she really wanted to do was hold on to the one tangible person in her universe right now and that was Frank. Even though she knew the people she had met were real and not imagined, Frank was and always had been her home for as long as she could remember. âMmm, I wonder too. I think it might be some charm, but I havenât dared to ask questions either⊠It might be too much.â She squeezed his hand gently when he intertwined their fingers, quietly reassuring him. âAt least we have each other.â She said softly so only he could hear.
âI donât know what Iâd do without you here, to be honest. This is crazy enough, but without my anchor, Iâd be lost at sea for sure.â Frankâs words were whispered against her temple, followed by a soft kiss. âWho all have you met? Anyone weâd know?â Honestly, Frank was practically tiptoeing around every person he came across for fear of messing up something in the space/time continuum. Part of Frank needed answers, but what if one question could upset the balance enough to ruin it all, to ruin them.Â
