Service dog at art exhibition - at Amos Rex by TeamLab
Dog treats that don’t trigger sensory issues:
If you have a service dog, it’s a good idea to have some treats on you at all times. This is not a problem if you don’t have sensory sensitivities. But if you’re like me it’s a huge problem. I hate the smell of dog treats and the oily residue that most of them leave on my fingers.
The Solution?
Using chicken filet dog treats. They can be bought from just about any food store and come like this:
It’s easy to cut them into smaller pieces with a knife, as long as you cut diagonally.
Most dogs love these treats and the best part is that they don’t leave oily residue on your hands, and they can be kept in a pocket without stinking up your pants!
