Ive had a full animatic out for about a month now!

As for doodles, perhaps! I’m currently knee deep writing an oc insert tadc fic alongside animation classwork but hopefully when I have more time!

I’m on tumblr looking up Malevolent stuff before finishing, I’m not the most responsible or spoiler-free person out there.

So if I’m understanding correctly, John and Arthur remember everything (except John’s name based off the doodle I saw but idk….if Kayne “randomly generated” it, that would be really hilarious (“what kinda of great old one names himself fucking John”)

Me who just finished season 5:🧍

If the others can hear John, it would be interesting to see how the others (particularly Noel and Oscar) would interact with him. (*imagining Arthur trying to talk to Oscar in piece and then getting strangled by John/tentacles*)

If their memories are wiped of the events of the podcast, do they still remember their “backstories” in a way? It would be convenient for Arthur’s memories to cut off when he opened the book.

Is John like he was at the start of the podcast, or does he keep some of his former developed self…?

Especially since it’s implied Arthur and John knew each other before the circus and were codependent (due to being attached) and yet they can’t remember anything. That sounds really fun to explore.

Im just pulling this out of my ass but I think it’d be fun if none of the cast recognised the others but still retain vague memories of their previous life, except for Arthur and John who are aware of who everyone is (because of the amount of eldritch bullshit they deal with, or simply because Kayne feels like it)

It’d be interesting to see how they approach these people who they do know but have to rebuild relationships with I think

I have some questions about the AU (don’t find me, just a hyperfixation on both TADC and Malevolent)

Is it the 1930s or modern day in this AU?

Can the others hear John? Do they know about him? If they do, do they see him as another “human” trapped in the circus?

I’m assuming John doesn’t have his memories. If so, it would be devastating for him when he finds out (if he’s still a piece of the king in yellow in this) considering he and the others are Kayne’s playthings so he’ll know how it feels.

I haven’t really fleshed out the AU but these questions are certainly helping!

I’d always seen this as happening in whatever realm Kayne is trapped in post part 60

I’m not sure on the exact logistics of it, perhaps he grabbed our Arthur and the rest of the cast and pulled them in with him and wiped their memories or something of the sort.

An idea I am rather fond of is my headcanon that Kayne is stuck in a void of stimulation deprivation, which would make this au happen entirely within the bounds of his particularly vivid imagination. Ironically enough you could say he’s achieved his ultimate goal in taking his fathers place but still being conscious in the world he creates, a god that cares but whose entire kingdom is still limited by the bounds of his own mind

As for John’s voice, he is visible as Arthur’s parasite hat so I’d imagine the other circus members can hear him yes

I don’t believe anyone would realise John wasn’t human before the circus unless he told them though. There would be a general assumption that they both joined the circus together and as a result their codependent form was a twisted joke— which it is, they just don’t get HOW thematically appropriate it is

For your Malevolent TADC AU, do they remember their names/know their names in this world? Or choose them?

Also what would be Arthur’s equivalent to Gummigoo in this universe?

Hm, I hadn’t actually thought about that! For simplicity’s sake they’d probably remember their own names, but I’m totally open for suggestions!

As for Arthur’s Gummigoo, I was thinking they could be more relevant to John instead. My immediate thought is Lily, specifically the nurse but she would be some sort of plant elephant creature like the animal Lily from the dreamlands :]

It also works considering how Kayne presumably was the one to leave animal Lily bleeding out in Carcosa
