I spent yesterday wallowing. I watched approximately half a season of America's Next Top Model and avoided the news at all costs. Today I woke up, blasted Beyoncé, and made my mom's chicken noodle soup. Then I spent the afternoon listening to my grandpa tell stories about how he's "lived a dangerous life". All of that mixed with all of the amazing photos I'm seeing from my friends and family marching around the country was the perfect Inauguration Day cure. It's going to be a long and hard four years, but we can do it. (at Bay View, Milwaukee)
