Sometimes the weather in the ocean becomes the kind of storm that you can only find in legends. It's believed that mermaids can be behind these violent weather changes, often located in specific parts of the sea without warning. It's often directed to an specific ship or vessel that the mermaid has a grudge against, being because a sailor did her wrong, stole from her or kidnapped one of her kind
