Nina’s eyes lit up in excitement. Now that she thought about it, New Vegas was a one player game, but she had so much more than that. She glanced at the comic Avaline had been reading and a wolfish grin spread across her features. “How about a few rounds of Injustice?” She squealed happily. She was just as much a comic lover as the next girl.

Avaline took one last look over the panels of her comic before slowly closing it over and placing it carefully beside her. No matter the suggestion, Ava would have agreed and so she nodded slowly. “Sure. We can play whatever you want. I’m pretty good at Injustice. Have you played the second one?”

Nina threw her Shakespeare book in frustration. “Goddamn it I hate Julius Caesar!” Why was she a British Lit concentration again? Ugh! Actually, truth was, Nina loved Julius Caesar, but loathed the assignment she was being forced to partake in. She needed a break. Her green eyes narrowed in on her PlayStation, a small smile tugging at the corner of her lips. Caesar made her think of Fallout New Vegas, one of her favorite games of all time. “Do you mind if we totally ditch this lame ass English assignment for some video games?” She asked with an air of excitement.

Avaline hadn’t really cared for what they were doing, She had offered to help her sorority sister with her assignment, well not offered more like agreed, but she’d spent most of her time reading comics. She was part way through the latest All Star Batman comic when the other lashed out. Avaline cautiously looked over the top of her comic to see the book on the floor. Glancing over to Nina, Ava shrugged. “I never say no to video games.”

The more people I meet the lonelier I feel. No one gets me. They can’t relate, and I don’t understand them. I speak and they look at me with blank stares. I try to put my heart’s feelings and my thoughts into words and they see completely alien views. They’re lost, they don’t get it. I don’t get them. I feel even more alone.
