âŚOh! He wants you toâŚ
Oooh! You nod and take the lead. Youâre not really a leader but directions were something you were a bit more comfortable with: after the mess when first meeting Glerhi, you made sure to memorize how to get to important places so youâd never have to awkwardly ask someone else for directions again.
You eventually find the place youâre looking for, the Houses. No one was around, oddly enough. But as you got closer, you noticed a pair, including one with familiar wings.
âGlerhi!â You wave at him. You turn back to Ray and nod. You rush forward, ready to greet a friendly face, when you notice the other person with him.
You immediately remember that face. You bumped into that girl beforeâŚÂ Sheâd seemed nice enough, but awfully distracted. You look between her and Ray warily. This was the team? Was this okay? You look up at Glerhi worriedly, waiting for his approvalâŚ

Thankfully, it seemed like Celes knew where she was going. In the meantime, Ray made sure to pay attention to the route they were taking, committing it to memory. As the rubble became more spaced out, rows of houses took their place. Soon after, your guide stops, her face breaking out into a smile for the first time since youâve met up. She called out a name, Ghelri. So, the person he had just spoken with over that device. His eyes followed after her, towards the pair waiting, but he stopped, taken aback.Â
The girl looked normal enough, she couldnât be much older than Ray. But the other was a different story. He seemed old enough to be an adult, but that wsnât what made him stand out.Â
Ray had definitely seen angels in stories and picture books before, but he had assumed thatâs where they stayed. But clearly, he didnât know much about the world at all.Â
He crossed his arms, eyeing the man cautiously, but choosing not to show outright hostility. He wasnât the one in control here, after all.Â
âFour people. Iâm guessing everyone is here, then.â His eyes flicked to the girl once before returning to the angel.Â
âHave you learned anything more about the situation since the first announcement?âÂ
âď¸ - She didnât question the wings- some of her upperclassmen and the adventurters that brought in more material had them, albeit not was covered and feathered. From her viewpoint, that was impractical, but she stayed her opinion on it- he probably wouldnât like the attention. She also recognized the smaller girl who came with a familiar face- one of her dormmates here.
âNo updates beyond week should start searching for places to fire this beacon thing off.â That said, she fired in at the house they were meeting at, making sure to get the wall. It was safer they still least have a bread crumb trail to establish landmarks in case they got separated.
â⌠Donât we share a living space?â She asked Ray, tilting her head to the side.

He saw the other two approach, though he wasnât sure what he did to illicit such a cheerful response from the Celes. Regardless he returned a wave to her in a manner of humoring her. After all, her communication skills werenât the greatest from, what he could assume was anxiety. Though acknowledging Ray and seeing how much smaller he was than the girls.. He was on a team full of children. Selune was positively laughing at the irony. Ah, fuck his life.
He simply patted Celesâs head, merely accepting his fate to be with 3 children. She seemed worried about his response but he simply opted to keep his mouth shut about the apparent age of everyone. After all, he knew better to judge the age of someone. He did watch a 12 year old at one point completely cripple a 50 year old way back when.Â
âWe should probably introduce ourselves, beyond from the person we traveled with to meet here. Iâm Glehri a cleric Elf stuck with a nuisance of a goddess.â Might as well get the reason why heâll grumble to Selune out of the way. âAnd before you ask, yes the wings are real.â
