Hey i dont wanna sound rude, but i saw you mention ghosts/spirits, ive never beleived in that sort of stuff but id like to ask what sort of experiences led to you beleiving in ghosts and stuff
Ooh I love these sorts of stories!
I’ve been seeing them my whole life in fact, so I grew up believing in them. My mom and grandma have told me I was about 3 years old and talking to an “imaginary friend” Bobby under the dining table and this tree in the garden, only to find out he wasn’t imaginary after poltergeist activity started in the house. I could even tell them things about dead relatives I’d never met. As a teen, I even accurately told them what my great grandma was buried in and the colour of the flowers she was holding while having never attended the funeral.
The most solid thing that made me understand my ability was when my family spent 5 years living in a house under constant torment from two negative entities. In that house: we had heavy paintings launch out into the middle of rooms from the walls before our eyes, I was hissed at, my entire mattress lifted a foot above my bed frame and then slammed down, I woke up at 3 AM and felt over a four fingered hand with sharp nails not an inch from my own on the bed (and the fingers drummed when I touched them and I will never forget it). I mean I could write an entire book about that house!! My sister and I took to sleeping in one bed because we were so terrified, and there are still habits we have today like sleeping with our doors closed and sleeping facing the door, because of what we endured nightly in that house. We never told anyone about it being haunted, but some family and friends refused to come over because of creepy things that happened to them when they visited. Turns out after asking around, the county had a lawsuit filed against it for building houses atop unmarked graves. The location of the graves? Under our house and our neighbour’s house :))))) I remember talking to the neighbour boy and he said a tall dark figure with long limbs and a crooked neck would stand at the foot of his bed for hours and that his parents wouldn’t believe him. But that was one of the ones’s I HAD been seeing in my own home :’) There were other spirits there as well, no doubt from the cemetery that was up against the side of the house or beneath it: a little girl with really curly hair, a tall very pale woman with her hair in a tight bun and a black Victorian dress, two men who we would often hear arguing in the living room at night, and a 16-17 year old blonde boy. We’ve been long gone from the house, but to this day, discussing it out loud—without my family knowing— with another person will cause all of my family members to have a nightmare about the house the following night. It’s weird
My great, great, great(?), grandma was a practicing witch and medium (although she was dabbling in some very dark magic and we have a 1920’s newspaper where the reporter and witnesses watched answers to questions appear on her back in raised red markings) but mediums and other sensitives have been in my family for generations on my mother’s side (my grandpa’s family is from the Philippines and they had a ranch when they moved to the US where WILD paranormal things happened to them, like waking up to muddy, bare footprints up the side of the house) so I grew up with a belief!
