I struggle falling asleep bc of anxiety.

I take anxiety medication and sleep medication.

I struggle to call asleep. I always have ever since I was a child, it takes me an hour maybe two hours to fall asleep.

However, if I fall asleep I can stay asleep for a rly long time which is great and good for my mental health.

However if I am woken up, I can’t fall back asleep.

I fell asleep at 12:30am (laid down at 11pm, wasn’t even tired when I laid down)

I was woken up at 5am by my housemate.

I have to be up for work at 7:30am.

I have to fast today.

I have class at 11am.

I have to get blood drawn at 2pm.

My sleep and anxiety medications put a physical strain on my heart if I don’t get a full 7-8 hrs of sleep. I can deal with 6 or 7 hrs of sleep once or twice a week. But to be functioning off of less than 5 hrs of sleep? That’s not okay, it’s never okay. Especially with the medications I’m on.

My heart feels funny. My head is pounding and I’m so tired I can barely keep my eyes open.

Yet I can’t fall back asleep.

This is what anxiety looks like. This shit isn’t cute it shouldn’t be romanticized or taken lightly.

I am also illogically angry at my house mate for taking a shower while being loud and waking me up at 5 fucking am knowing she’s just going to sleep and lay in bed all day. I get it, you may be depressed or can’t sleep but to be loud and take a shower at 5am?? Now my day is fucked and ruined - thank you.
