my versions of Strangetown characters' ages since i'm bored at work ⌛
THAT WAS HARD. REALLY HARD xD i'm still not sure about anything here, but well. why not to post it.
first of all: i personally find it meaningless to count ages through number of days in various lifestages. there are so many inconsistencies! if you count them like that - that's absolutely fine, though. i just personally find neighborhood pictures more indicative than just a number of days.
for example, Buzz is 15 days away from being an elder, and Lazlo is 28 days away from being an elder. he's even younger than Nervous (who is 27 days away from being an elder). and still, Buzz and Lazlo are here, on this neighborhood picture, both as teenagers.
and also, like, Jenny is here, also as a teenager, even though she is 5 days from being an elder.
these pictures should not be taken literally, though. it's very clear that Jenny, Lazlo and Buzz still have decent age difference. they are here as teenagers just for us to know that they are relatively in the same age group (teenagers of various ages in the same school) and knew each other when they were younger. it's like this picture, where fridges are placed like school lockers lol, even though we know damn well that those are fridges:
imo we should not always take game's features and mechanics literally as a starting point for our headcanons. and also various headcanons can differ. that's fine.
with that out of the way, let's talk about the ages :D
if i missed some important details about characters' ages/bios or something doesn't match up, please let me know! i did all the counting all the way back in August, but decided to sort it out just today.
General Buzz Grunt - ~40 y.o. (imo he was a high school bully while others were still in middle school. and he bullied kids much younger than him. what a loser)
Ripp Grunt - 16 y.o.
Tank Grunt - 18 y.o.
Buck Grunt - 10 y.o.
Loki Beaker - 33 y.o. but he could be 36
Circe Beaker - 32 y.o. but she could be 35
Nervous Subject - ~23 y.o., potentionally a bit younger/older
their ages are totally messed up imo, but i did what i could xD also, to patch some plot holes, we can say that the Beakers (and Nervous, as their test subject) could change their age with Elixir of Life, since Loki is the creator of aspiration rewards.
when counting their ages, we should take into account that Circe as a teenager rejected Pascal's first kiss and dated both Loki and Vidcund; that means, they all are relatively the same age. let's say, she rejected Pascal when she was 16 and he was 18. she dated Loki and Vidcund when they were both 17. sound realistic enough for me.
also it kinda matches Nervous' age, since he aged up twice when he was already with the Beakers. let's say, he joined them when he was ~13-16, and they were ~24-27 (already trying the Elixir).
damn, that was hard. (i'm already the same age as the Beakers here, where is my personal test subject?)

this man. he is the bane of EVERYONES problems!! the literal reason why pleasant view has sm drama. an icon for all the wrong reasons. mr man's dating half the population. like, who's fucking both the caliente sisters? him. who's fucking the local maid? him. who led cassie on and broke her heart? him. and why is daniel and mary sue's marriage failing?..him. and also maybe cuz of kaylyn.
The town of Veronaville is one built on little love and one big feud. For years, the Capp and Monty clans have been at each other’s throats; yet this hatred cannot stop the younger generation from crossing borders and falling for one another. Will their actions bring both feuding families to ruin, or spark reconciliation? Can their love truly heal such deep wounds?

ISSUES THAT I AM AWARE OF:
Some townies’ memories could disappear. It happens even with the mod that forbids the townies from losing their memories. I don't know what the reason is so I recommend checking them before you play the game, namely, by going into the family and teleporting the townies to the resident lot. If the memories are already gone, then please re-download the hood.
Hoodchecker might show some minor errors connected to the wrong memory subjects. This was intentional so don't be alarmed! It doesn't affect your game in any negative way.
Don't try to resurrect Julien Cooke. Just forget about him.
Oberon originally had an overlay with a mechanical prosthetic. But for some reason in some testers’ games the overlay was affecting Oberon's complexion, turning his skintone white… So I removed the overlay entirely. You can add it back if you wish!

VD01 ENG is a main hood; contains some of my CCs.
VVBS CC is an archive with some custom content from me for the hood (consists of: some cosmetics, contacts (in the masks section) and one female haircut).
VVBS SUBHOOD is a subhood with two major differences from the main hood: it does not contain pictures from Storytelling folder (so the nhood is less heavy) + you can pick and choose whether you want it with or without my custom content.
EXTRA CONTENT folder is not necessary to download; it contains some extra stuff from my project. This file is locked, but you can gather the password in main hood itself through the storytelling pictures and a little game in the community lots (you can find the rules of this game in the description of 2 Pentameter Parkway lot). Think of it as a reward for your attentiveness!

Secondly, I would like to hear what inspires you to develop your story lines. Do you follow your sims wants and make the story based on that, or do y’all have a narrative already in your heads?
