Whoopi Goldberg Was A Mistake
(Our first music video is going to be for our upcoming new single "Whoopi Goldberg Was A Mistake". We started playing it live already however and I figured I'd supply everyone with the words to learn and sing along!)
I'm starving for attention while you're out feeding the cows So nonchalantly neglectful thinking nothing of your vows And for the ones who dress in confidence, I'd love to wear your jeans To understand what I resent of you and realize what it means At dawn we cast our lines Often side by side But when you're fishing with an industrial net I'm not sure just why I try There's so much I'd like to ask but I'm a decent person I believe that things would go awry and only make things worse and while I miss you like you're overseas, you miss this bitter part of me There's answers that I need but I won't ask, won't tell, won't let it weigh on me, weigh on me, weigh on me, weigh on me. I'm remiss of what I've lost, I fly my flag half-mast I'm like a widow decked in black and lace, your efforts are half assed And if I'd wanted to be stoned to death I'd just defy the church But this abandonment and lack of passion's feeling slightly worse At dawn we cast our lines When I reel in mine I’ll be sure to find Not a single bite There's so much I'd like to ask but I'm a decent person I believe that things would go awry and only make things worse and while I miss you like you're overseas, you miss this bitter part of me There's answers that I need but I won't ask, won't tell, won't let it weigh on me, weigh on me, weigh on me, weigh on me. At dawn we cast our lines When I reel in mine I’ll be sure to find Not a single bite
There's so much I'd like to ask but I'm a decent person I believe that things would go awry and only make things worse and while I miss you like you're overseas, you miss this bitter part of me There's answers that I need but I won't ask, won't tell, won't let it weigh on me, weigh on me, weigh on me, weigh on me. DEBUT ALBUM REVIEWING TIME! so here we have, A Verbel Equinox’s debut album And The Ringmaster Is Pleased To Introduce… and to be honest i’d be pretty fucking pleased to introduce this as well. This album is compiled of songs that would accompany a Burton Parade as well as that big big party over at the Stanley Hotel where ghosts posses A&A ridden fathers for their drinking troubles. this album is beautiful, sick twisted, wacky, perfection. a whopping 11 tracks with a bonus rings you in at 39 minutes of pure catchy outlandish circus tunes that would make Cirque De Soleil piss itself. the songs all fit perfect together not one feels out of place or like a “hey we need a filler song” they really worked their asses off on this. my favourite songs are, Bleüctipie, Drugs Ain’t Cheap In Poughkeepsie, If We’re Not Careful, We’ll Turn Into Alcoholics. I Mean… Catholics, and all the others. i coudlnt find a song i disliked at all. this is a completely new sound and i’ve fallen in love with it, just want more now. BUT ANYWAY, i highly, highly, highly, suggest this album to anyone who wants a brave new weird and awesome listen infect their ear buds. i give this album a 5 out 5. you can grab it on their bandcamp page, very much worth the money!
Thanks so much for the vivid and generally awesome review dude, we really appreciate it!!
Can you spot the best sticker on Josh’s car? Spoiler alert: it’s the AVE one…
Hey guys, I know it's late but we have a rather somber announcement to make and didn't want it to wait until the morning. Unfortunately, our long beloved bassist Tyler has decided to part ways with us (he's not dead so don't worry). We're pretty bummed but I assure you all that we're still on amazing terms and Tyler will always be a brother to us and a member of AVE as far as we're concerned, we love him to death and have nothing but extremely fond feelings and well wishes for one of our best friends. That sounds super generic and cheesy but there's really no non-cheesy way to tell everyone you love someone to death, bandmate or not. As far as lineup goes, we technically won't be replacing Tyler. Jon is going to be switching ships and becoming our official bassist, and our newest member Dan will be taking on rhythm guitar roles as well as his many other instrumental duties including sax, flute, clarinet and other things you blow. Thanks guys and have a great night, AVE
So who’s coming out to the biggest show ever in the world forever explosion extravaganza ever in Middletown NY Tomorrow?
That’s TWELVE SONGS for just TWO BUCKS. Most of you spend more than that on food that will make you ugly one day, while our music will ensure that your ugliness is embraced EVERYDAY.
But it’s today only! As the spring equinox ends, so does this deal and you can be sure you’ll regret not taking advantage of this awesome one-time offer to own some of the strangest music out of NJ since the last really weird NJ band…

"AND THE RINGMASTER IS PLEASED TO INTRODUCE..." NOW AVAILABLE!
“And The Ringmaster Is Pleased To Introduce…” is now available to all you anxious ladies and gents! If you didn’t take advantage of the preorder (silly kids), here are a few ways to obtain the music on this disc:
Bandcamp ($5) - The best way to do it digitally. It’s cheaper because it costs us less to use, simply put, and Bandcamp is just all around a great website.
Itunes ($9.99) - If you got those Itunes giftcards for Christmas and ran out of versions of Angry Birds to buy, and feel like spending “real money” on our album isn’t your forte, then Itunes is the digital option for you!
Amazon.com ($8.99) - Same as Itunes! If you have a giftcard or sold all your books back and have no idea what to buy (I usually buy bras and car decals and megaphones), buy it digitally on Amazon! I have no idea why it’s the weird price of $8.99 but embrace it!
Big Cartel (PHYSICAL COPY! - $5) - If you can’t make it out to a show but would like to order a physical copy of the album, head over to Big Cartel and do it up!
COME TO A SHOW! ($5 and the experience is priceless ;D) - From here on out, we’ll be selling cheap ass $5 CDs at all of our live performances, and probably to unsuspecting mall rats and shit. Hit us up at the merch table we’ll finally have and we will be all smiles and cry and be extremely grateful and all that corny stuff.
If screencap yourself listening to the album on your phone/iPod/etc. or have a physical copy you want us to see you embracing (be original, DO IT!), share the picture on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook or Tumblr and tag it #averbalequinox and we’ll find it and immediately think you’re amazing.
To anyone who will listen to, buy, or even just hear a few song from this album, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU from the bottom of all of our disgusting hearts.
We’re also now on Spotify!
I finally got my band shirt! It’s so comfortable and beautiful and I love it so much.
Did you put a noose on the shirt to be "edgy?" I find it quite distasteful but I guess I should expect that from this band
HAHAHAHAHAHAH WHAT. Is this the same person that got mad about it on Facebook?
We have a lyric “If I ever go and break my neck/Hanging out the 13th floor/At least I won’t have to hold my head up high no more”
So that’s why. No intent of “edginess”, simply a correlation to our lyrical content.
Let me ask you, is it this offensive when bands put guns or knives or poison on their shirts? Because I’m pretty sure MOST bands have put some sort of death instrument on their merchandising at some point.
Sorry if you are personally offended, I’m assuring you no one went out of their way to make that so. Have a nice day! :)
Everyone should pick up one of these awesome A Verbal Equinox tshirts we just got in. They look sick!
We rep our own band hard.
